Sound Of Stereo

Sound Of Stereo, an electronic duo from Belgium, started around the summer of 2007 and have recently released their first EP “Nic nag”. This is actually already old news to some of you, but the guys from Sound Of Stereo were so nice to send us the track. Through their myspace, the track has even been spotted by MTV who’s now using Nic nag for their MTV generation commercial. Check their myspace for more info on upcomming shows because they know how to get the crowd wild !

Track-Mania

A 4 tracked Track-Mania (i know :D ). Nonetheless, these 2 tracks are absolutely worth listening to! A new Bloody Beetroots remix ‘I Am Not Drunk’. That’s exactly what i was telling myself last night before i hit the floor. Anyway, the other is a fancy footwork remix from the Italian duo, Crookers. You probably know this track from their JJJ mixup from last month. If you haven’t listened to the endless list of fancy footwork remixes you might like this ;) And our friends @ Phase02 found this new london producer called ‘stupidisco‘ who has just released his first track ‘marilyn monroe’, pretty sweet track! And last but not least im trowing in another LA Riots remix! Enjoy

Where the Beastie Boys filmed one gig with 50 cameras, Soulwax filmed 120 shows with one camera in Europe, Japan, US, Latin America and Australia. This resulted in 2 films; a live music film and a documentary which includes 2manydj’s, Soulwax Nite Versions and features James Murphy, Nancy Whang, Erol Alkan, Tiga, Justice, Busy P, So-Me, Peaches, Kitsuné, Klaxons and many more in behind the scenes footage, interviews and LOTS of music.”

The Belgium Release is on 12 May

Polsslag 2008

Yesterday every self respected electro freak made their way to ‘de grenslandhallen’ in Hasselt. Polsslag is the name, amazing line-up is the game. Names like Boys noize, the bloody beetroots, goose, dr lektroluv, MSTRKRFT, Erol Alkan all appeared on stage. I can asure you 1 thing: those names in combination with some damn amazing light effects and just the right amount of crowd can make people go mad! Literally! Before we can spoil you guys with an exclusive MSTRKRFT interview (@ polsslag) from our friends at Bounce! magazine, i’ll round up the names with a few youtube’s

The Bloody Beetroots
I expected the most from these guys (damn they simply blew me away). First time i ever saw them, they came to Hasselt with the most stunning set i’ve ever heard!

Dj Mehdi
Famous for his hip-hop/house/electro flavoured sets. I must say i was quite suprised from his performance. I saw him last year at Dour Festival, where in my humble opinion… he kinda sucked. Nevertheless, this time, he nailed it! :D

Well what can i say… those canadian bastards sure know how to rock the party :D Bad ass set, great tracks! 3rd time i saw these guys, they just keep playing harder and harder! Heavy shit! YOU’VE GOT TO SHOW ME LOVE! PS: Stay tuned for an exclusive interview coming in the next 2 weeks!

Greatest dissapointment ever! This guy is playing the same old shit for about a year now. For us, die-hards, this simply doesn’t do the trick. What a shame. &down, great track, but it just gets kinda lame when you listen to it for the 11th million fucking time!

Erol Alkan
The guy who’s playlists are always a big question mark. If i can recognise 4-5 tracks in his set, im happy :D He spinned a pretty dark lectro set yesterday. On the other hand: when the bass makes your guts turn over and you end up notious, i’m pretty sure its time to pull it back a little!

Sébastien Tellier – Divine (Danger Remix)

A few days ago we posted the videoclip and the Midnight Juggernauts remix of Sébastien Telliers new Single. Now as promised we bring the just released Danger remix ! The beginning of the track sounds a bit like an old game computer or something, but 1minute into the track the typical Danger sound kicks in, and that what we love, enjoy !
