Damn, this guy must be a big fan from Daft Punk’s Harder Better Faster Stronger. About 2 weeks ago I was at Les Ardentes, a rock / electro festival in Liege. During the Crookers set I heard this remix from Harder Better Faster Stronger, but it sounded a lot like another remix I know from Diplo, well apparently it was from Diplo aswell. So he remixed a remix of himself ? Yeah, exactly, and it sounds mighty damn good! I uploaded the older/orginal aswell.

I’m always been a big fan of the Beastie Boys, so I regularly search other blogs for some good remixes. And I have to say their are a lot of good ones out there, especially from Intergalactic, probably their most known song. So I gathered 3 remixes for you guys, 2 from Intergalactic and 1 from Sabotage (my personal favourite Beastie Boys track)
That’s right, a brand new EP from our favourite Italian ghetto dj duo! An EP inspired by their home country, released on Diplo’s Mad Decent label. On the EP we find 4 tracks including The Bloody Beetroots remix of Il Brutto. To give you guys a little taste of the new EP , which is now available on ITunes and Beatport, I uploaded Il Cattivo and The Bloody Beetroots remix of Il Brutto. For those who know the AC/DC remix from the Crookers will probably recognize some samples of it in Il Cattivo.
That’s right, we had a nice pause, some time to chill out and relax. Starting from today we are back for more new hyped up music. Knowing I haven’t been following the latest music, I’ll probably post some older stuff aswell. I hope we can get some of our almost daily viewers back and some new aswell ofcourse. Enjoy your stay.
Rock Werchter, a 4 day festival in Belgium, known in the whole world for his perfect organisation. The festival is mainly a rock festival but it has some good dance/electro names this year, I’ll only review these names, because we are still an electro blog.
Shameboy, our Belgian duo. With the release of their second album they had some more “playing room”. They played a varried set with tracks from the new and old album. We got the Shameboy sound we expected, but too bad they didn’t really mixed the tracks together … , we have the liveset ! so you can listen for yourself. Download it right here
Soulwax, … wow. The third time I saw them, but this show absolutely blew me away. A mixture of their own tracks and own remixes all blended into one whole banging set!
And to end the evening the two Dewaele brothers (better known as 2manydj’s) played a dj-set. They started off very good with some more commercial tracks and more “underground” tracks like , fake blood – mars . But towards the ending their mixing became a bit messy, I guess they were getting tired or something, but hey, I can’t blame them.
Not much electro/dance that day, two names: Digitalism and Moby.
I didn’t watch Digitalism till the end , because Moby started around halfway through the set. So I went off pretty early at Digitalism, but good news, the set is recorded and you can download it right here.
Moby, didn’t played a djset, but instead a big liveshow with normal instruments, vocal singer(what a voice!) and of course Moby himself. Moby played all his hits and the more slower songs were reinvented into a dance version, somewhat like the moby remixes album.
Justice, as expected. A liveset with most of their own tracks and a remix or 2, 3 … . The overall set was good, but the marquee was really packed with people and the screaming and shouting even came over the music now and then. “Because we … are … your friends … you’ll … never be alone again !”
It’s been more than a month since the last track-mania, so it’s time to blast some new tracks through your speakers !
First of all, we have a new remix of JFK from MSTRKRFT, the original track was made by Kid Sister.
Kid Sister – Control (JFK Remix)
Next we have a track of a brand new Belgian duo called Beatbouncers. They only started playing and producing together a couple of weeks ago and their first track already received a lot of positive comments.
Beatbouncers – Shake Ya Shimmy
As last track we have a remix of Dystopia by the Midnight Juggernauts, the remix comes from Cut Copy. so it’s a completely Australian project!

Last wednesday the day before the start of Rock Werchter, I went to a party in Leuven. The flyer said “booty – electro – clash”, 3 keywords for a perfect party if you ask me. Project Cyborg was playing that night as well. Good set, with the latest electro tracks, during the set I didn’t recognized a track. So after their set I went to the guys and asked what track it was. It was no other then their own new track, called “Feel So Cyborg”.
Well, I’ll hope to post some more stuff (incl. a short Werchter 2008 review) next few days, before I’m off again for Les Ardentes Festival.
It’s been a while since we posted some new stuff. It’s been quite busy the last few days (end of school year = partys). For myself, I’m back from a small vacation with a small surn-burn and I’am already packing for the upcomming festivals (Rock Werchter, Les Ardentes, I’ll promise you guys a small report). But until then here are some mixtapes for the summer!
First of, the new Soda & Suds “fidget widget” mixtape, 50 minutes of pounding electro just as we like.

Next up a guy from Montreal! He e-mailed us after reading our blog. Some good party club vibes,… this guy knows what people like!
Techjio – Dance till you get tired Mix
Now, the guys who mix hip-hop / ghetto and electro like the best, the Crookers, a
2 hour essential mix for BBC radio.
The Crookers – Essential mix (06/21/2008)
