Les Transardentes 2009 Livesets

Damn, was I mad I couldn’t go! Brilliant line-up with dj’s as Jeff Milss, James Holden, Don Rimini, sebastiAn and even one of my favourite bands of the moment Late Of The Pier. Anyway, today I found some livesets of Les Transardentes on Belgiumlivesets.blogspot.com. So for all you guys who couldn’t go because they had finals just like me, here are the few livesets, I haven’t heard them all for myself so don’t know if the quality is any good. Let’s hope Les Transardentes pickes his date a bit better next year!!!

Bob “producing machine” Rifo has a lot of remixes coming up for 2009. Today he uploaded a 9min teaser with 9 remixes we can expect soon! Soulwax live @ Soulwaxmas

Last time I saw them was at Rock Werchter last summer. Damn, far out the best performance I’ve heard those 4 days, a rollercoaster ride from the beginning till the end. When I heard about the dvd+cd they were making, I was hoping the cd to be just like their gig at Werchter, a mixture of most of the remixes and nite versions. But a bit dissapointed it turned out to be an older setlist with only tracks from the nite versions. Today I spotted this link to their liveset at Soulwaxmas Hasselt on LAFriendly.com. I haven’t heard it for myself but it should be a tracklist somewhat close to Werchter! I hope LAFriendly.com doesn’t mind me sharing the “LAFriendly exclusive” liveset with you guys.

Track-Mania

A quick small Track-Mania just before I get back to studying (again?).

First up the latest remix from LAZRtag. These guys remix practically everything going from Britney Spears to Crystal Castles. But this time they remixed an old classic one, Smooth Criminal from Michael Jackson. In the end a track which can’t go wrong at partys, the famous vocals of Michael Jackson covered with a nice electro layer! Don’t forget to check their other remixes at their myspace.

Then the newest track from AC Slater, who really scored good with his Jack got jacked. His newest track is called “Party like us”. It’s not only the name of his newest track but also the name of his just launched record label. The track itself is a typical AC Slater track with wobbly fidget sounds and heavy bass! Good intro by the way.

Already a few days old, but for all those who missed it on other blogs perhaps, I’ve uploaded the latest Bloody Beetroots remix for The All-American Rejects – Gives you hell. The remix is part of digital DJ promo for the track “Gives you hell” and includes other remixes from artist as Ocelot, The Limousines (don’t ask me who they are!). Anyway the track itself starts of rather relaxed, and actually stays rather relaxed (even though that’s not really the word I’m looking for). But I expected a bit rougher and harder remix from them.

Yuksek – Away from the sea

Hell yeah! One of my favourit producers is coming with an album! I’am of course talking about Yuksek who’s track “Tonight”, I just can’t get out of my head. Absolutely brilliant track. The album is scheduled to be released digital the 26th of januari and should be at your local cd shop the 2nd februari. Yuksek is playing a live set in Belgium at Les Transardentes the 24th of januari, but along with many others I have exams then, so I can get go (*DAAAAAAAAMN*).

Second home of Shadow Dancer

The second home of Shadow Dancer! Or better known as the myspace wheir they post their remixes. And to start of the year they added two new remixes to their player. First one is an unreleased remix from Boys Noize’s Shine Shine, a good track but you could understand it didn’t make the Oi Oi Oi remix cd. Then the second one is from a band called “Me My Head”, a decent and solid remix.

Sound of Stereo

The first track to kick off 2009 (except happy new year shit) is from Sound of Stereo the Belgian revelation of 2008. They scored very well with their fidget like tracks and got picked up by a lot of other dj’s and producers (to just mention one: The Bloody Beetroots). The release of their latest EP wasn’t so along ago and already they have some new tracks coming up. One of these tracks is “Jack my trombone” typical Sound of Stereo , very sweet fidget sound and deep vocals (I uploaded the preview version, so this isn’t the full version!). A part from the new track Sound of Stereo also uploaded a new mixtape! Which includes Heads Up! another new track from Sound of Stereo which I hope to be released soon enough (should be end of Februari I’ve been told), you can get a small preview (live @ I love techno 2008) of the Bloody Beetroots remix from the track right here.

Time for action again!

It’s time to get my lazy ass out of the chair! … euhm … I mean back in the chair, behind the desk and start blogging again. I successfully made the transition from 2008 and 2009 while playing my 2nd gig. I’m hoping 2009 to be a year with some nice releases from known and new artists, a lot of good electro partys and so on…(and secretly a lot of gigs for myself). And ow yeah … better late than never … HAPPY NEWYEAR!
