There is a new artist in the DIM MAK stable, called Motor. Their sound is very experimental techno/electro like. At the moment they are the support act for Depeche Mode’s stadium tour. Their newest album Metal Machine will be released on the DIM MAK label. The first single of that album is Death rave and is available for download right now (check their myspace), but I only got my hands on the remix they made from Kanye West’s Robotcop. I know the original track and I must say I don’t recognize that much samples from the original. Anyway I appreciate the sound behind it, rough deep techno beats which make you feel like your at a Rave party.

Elektrobrothers

Today I’m presenting a Belgian dj-duo that goes by the name Elektrobrothers. Like you already heard in their artist name they are 2 brothers who like… Electro and are also good at producing songs of the same genre.

Their remix of Fun Fun Fun is really refreshing. They used the same samples but composed a complete other melody. It was also featured on Dada Life’s Site

The Prodigy – Omen (Clockwork Remix)

Omen, in my opinion the best song on “Invaders Must Die” (released 23rd February), has been remixed many times by great artists like Herve, Noisa, Dirty Disco Youth, and finally by Clockwork. You might know him from his remix of one of Basshunter‘s songs “Now You’re Gone”. His remix of “Omen” is his latest masterpiece, I’m glad he used many of the original sounds but also gave it a twist of his own.

This track has one of the most amazing build ups I have ever heard. The track is at it’s best in the middle so it has been building up for half a track. You can see they’ve put a lot of work in it.

Zombie Nation – Worth It Part I (NT89 remix)

Sick tune, title says it all. Definitely worth it. There is a nice build-up to the climax at around 1:40 and after that the track just explodes. Enjoy!

Chase & Status are well known for their accesible d&b and dubstep tracks. OH SNAP!! remixed “Saxon” by using the same bpm as the original, but he’s put in some d&b beats to make the song as pounding as can be. Great rave track.

7 Years Culture Club Aftermath

I know 7 YCCC was almost 2 weeks ago, but tonight I’ve been watching some footymaterial of it and GODDAMN I’m proud to post it!

On the 30th of April 2009 ‘Culture Club’ @ Ghent, Belgium celebrated his 7th birthday! And what a hell of a bdayparty it was!

When you see the astonishing line-up you would wish you’d been there:

There Tocadisco, MSTRKRFT, The Bloody Beetroots, LA Riots, Sound of Stereo, Maxim Lany and Neon gave us a night remember and damn what a night it was!

But the most interesting feature about this post is that I got in contact with all the photographers and ‘filmingpeople’! They gave me some interesting footy and photolinks, I’ll bet u’ll like it!
