Big Fat Kickdrum

Electroclash pioneer Felix Da Housecat is back with a new album called “He Was King”. It will hit the record stores on August 25. This is what he had to say about the album:

Whereas Kittenz and Thee Glitz was straight up electro, He Was King is straight Felix da Housecat pop with a nice electronic feel.

I’ve only listened to We All Wanna Be Prince (released as a single) for like 5 seconds… Me no likey.
Kickdrum however has the biggest, heaviest bass you could possibly want. The song is kinda minimalistic but that’s ok with me.
LA Ravers is a ravin’ electro banger. Check out those tunes and buy the album when it gets released!

01. We All Wanna Be Prince (3:33)
02. Plastik Fantastik (3:29)
03. Kickdrum (3:49)
04. Do We Move Your World (4:35)
05. We (4:20)
06. Spank U Very Much (2:32)
07. Do Not Try This at Home (4:08)
08. Turn Me on a Summer Smile (3:39)
09. Elvi$ (6:06)
10. LA Ravers (3:47)
11. Machine (3:31)
12. He Was King (3:23)

Here’s a remix I found on the Panormx blog:

Felix Da Housecat – Kickdrum (TEDD Remix) / TEDD

I guess the remix makes Kickdrum more ‘electro’, but I think I prefer the original mix.
