Afrojack – Bangduck

My god it’s finally here. Ever since Afrojack posted this video (watch it) of bangduck in his studio I was trying everything to get my hands on the track. To the ones who think it sounds like Bangkok: “It’s not called Bangduck without a reason duh”. Afrojack kinda made a track to diss Boris Dlugosch for “copying” his sound and making a track with it. I also think that it resembles to “Cool (Afrojack Remix)”, but Afrojack just wanted to show other dj’s to keep their hands of his tracks. You won’t hear me complaining!

it’s not to diss him, it’s just because he really likes the bangkok track, check twitter from both Boris as well as afrojack!

where did you even hear that he was trying to diss him? he drops bangkok all the time in his sets. i doubt he’d do that if he was upset about it.

Like this one better than Bangkok to be honest; much too cheesy.

@ matt: I read it somewhere on the erol alkan forums so it was possibly just a rumour.

Pretty sure Afrojack was listening to See The Light (Calvin Harris Remix) while writing this track. His alias should be “Copyjack”

Oh come on are you guys serious? This track sucks monkey balls man. Some cheesy synths and the rest is just straight Bangkok – even if that was what he (Afrojack) intended.

It’s not a diss, but what the fuck is it then? A bad joke? He even plays Bangkok AND Bangduck in one set, so I tend to think: what the fuck.

    Track sucks.
    Peace

I dunno.. Bangduck definitely sounds a little more polished (or dare I say.. commercial? :P ) than Bangkok. It may as well be Bangkok 2.0. That aside, I just can’t get enough of this track!
That synth is haunting. Can only imagine how epic it’d be in the club with smoke, lasers and a head full of what have you.
Bangkok to me, sounds a little Crystal Castles-ey. It’s a phat beat, sure, but there’s periods of ‘experimental noise’ for lack of a better definition. Don’t get me wrong, I like that shit. But the finished product of Bangduck goes for a different sound.

why isnt it called bangkok (afrojack remix)?

thought a track had to be different to a certain extent to be named its own track and simply not a remix. cheers
