Chill Sessions #5

Today was probably my laziest sunday ever… nice. Thought it was time for me to get a little more active on these pages. Here are some relaxing tunes that get me through days like this.

The first tune comes from German drum & bass duo Madmen & Poets. Their new album will see its release on Fokuz Recordings. They used a sample from Kool & The Gang’s “Winter Sadness”. It won’t get more funky than this!

Madmen & Poets – Scandinavian Sunday

Eveson is everywhere lately. After releases on C.I.A. Deep Kut and his own label Channel 82, there’s another 12″ forthcoming on Spearhead Records. The title track “Marley” samples some vocals from Bob Marley’s reggae classic “Is This Love”.

Eveson – Marley

Two more liquid d&b tunes coming up. These tracks are a few years older, but they still sound great. I just love the combination of those soulful vocals and a classic piano on a drum & bass beat.

Calibre – All The While

The release of the highly anticipated new Booka Shade album called “More” is coming closer and closer. I’m sure it will be filled with quality tracks! Here’s the second track off the album:

Booka Shade – Donut (Interpretation)

Last but not least some laid back dubstep-meets-minimal from Scuba. The vibe created by the vocals definitely reminds of Burial, but Scuba added his own personal twist to the genre.
