Kitsuné Maison 9

The famous label Kitsuné Maison is already up to their 9!! compilation album featuring only the best in electro/pop-electronic and indie music. The album seems to offer yet again the finest selection with solid names as Yuksek, The Twelves, Monarchy, Crookers but also new and upcoming names as Jamaica, … . The compilation will be released April 26th and will be available on all the big digital music platforms.

As a taster they shot a nice battle-video (as you might remember from previous releases) and they also sent us a free track which is featured on the album. The Twelves know how to set the mood and I think this remix for “TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB Something Good Can Work” perfectly reflects the concept behind Kitsuné. Looking forward, to say the least.

Overtime

Turbo Recordings can be easily regarded as one of the best electronic music labels around. With Tiga, Dahlbäck, Proxy, Boys Noize, Popof, Zombie Nation and so many other artists under their wings, they have released some of the best techno(-ish) records of the past decade.

What brings us to their latest release, the remix EP of Tiga‘s track “Overtime” from his latest album ‘Ciao!’. Some big names like Adam Beyer & Dahlback, Sei A and Brodinski contributed with a remix. Most of the tracks have a rather minimal vibe. This is techno how it should be.

Pogo

After a hard day of work (or what should have been a hard day of work …) I went to see what’s being hyped on the hype machine lately, I stumbled on a name I haven’t seen for a while but this video still amazes me every time I hear it. Pogo is the man responsible for this amazing sample work from the Disney film “Alice”, but I’m going to stop talking about this track and video because our trusty readers might remember that I already posted this once a (long) time ago.

The track on hypem on the other hand … it’s not a pogo original but a remix by Rynecologist who got a lot attention for his remix of Boys Noize – Kontakt Me which mister Alex himself drops more then often. You immediately hear it’s a pogo track, very dreamy, a constant loop of short vocals (this time coming from Pixar’s animation film “Up”) and oh so damn catchy. Watch Pogo’s video for the original right here. Can’t get enough of this talented guy’s sound!

I announced this one on our facebook page a few days ago. We got asked to do a guest post on the rather new formed phantasy sound blog. Their blog focusses on artist who are signed to the Phantasy Sound label (from Erol Alkan). I didn’t want to write something that has been blogged over and over again already, so I went kinda back 2 back to my first “contacts” with Erol Alkan and Late Of The Pier.
