Rotze – Lowlife EP

Rotze, two crazy guys from Stuttgart, Members of international successful Trash Metal Bands “Laserboys” and “An Early Cascade” slide into the Electro Scene right now with their banging Disco Trash Tune “Lowlife”. The very young Project Rotze still got the respect of Boxon Records Artist DYEBOX with their Remix of “Colour Run” and now DYEBOX pay it back with a Remix of “Lowlife” beside a famous Dutch Afro-Beat Style sounding Remix of Jay Robinson ( Southern Fried Records), who just produced beside Malente and Supabeatz. As a very special Bonus “Lowlife” is getting a Mix Interpretation from German Wonder Boy Electro Ferris ( Freakz Me Out Records) aka Ferris MC, Member of the incredible German Electro Band Deichkind. The Project totally rock, KIEZ BEATS bring you a new Dancefloor Killer EP!

Massive Mixtape Action

I can’t believe how many mixtapes were sent to us lately, maybe it has to do something with Summer coming closer?

The first one is from Mightyfools, they recently finished their first EP entitled “That’s The Shit” on Lektroluv Records. What better way than to celebrate this with a new mixtape filled with exclusive tracks and ofcourse tracks from their new EP:

Mightyfools – That’s The Shit Mixtape 2010 by lektroluvrecords

Next mixtape is from Highbloo, also a resident Lektroluv Records producer with something new coming up. His latest remix “Schlachthofbronx – Ayoba (Highbloo Remix)” has been featured in Discobelle’s “Turned On Vol. 1″ compilation” which you can check here. If you would like to listen to a mixtape from Highbloo himself just check his latest mixtape:

Highbloo – The Fat! Club Mix 007 by The Fat! Club on Mixcloud

A-Trak has also been causing some attention on the internet with his second “Dirty South Dance” Mixtape. Many of you guys are waiting for it for 3 years now so if you haven’t heard it yet, here’s your chance!

With Shaved Monkeys still in the back of my head, Soda & Suds this time had the honor to mix the 29th OMGITM Supermix. They’ve crunched in as many self-made remixes and tracks and a lot of exclusive tracks. Definitely worth giving a listen:

Soda ‘n’ Suds – OH MY GOD ITS TECHNO MUSIC Supermix 29 by Soda ‘n’ Suds

Aeroplane got a lot of attention with their 500th Essential Mix on Radio 1 (check here) but let’s not forget the usual mixtapes they make. This excellent mixtape is perfect for waking up on a summer’s day with the sun shining right on your face.

Aeroplane “Chart Mix” May 2010 by Aeroplane (Official)

Last but not least is a mixtape from Blatta & Inesha, recorded for Burn Paris Burn. I’m really loving the intro in this one, apparently Blatta & Inesha, Paul (One half of Mustard Pimp) and Darcy recorded something special after drinking a few too many wodka shots.

Can’t Hide

I think it was like two hours after I posted the Swivel Hips track that I already got an email from these guys! I thought it would be a request to remove the track, but apparently these guys appreciate some kind words and free publicity! Even better, they hooked me up with a new track. “We Can’t Hide” was supposed to be a track for the upcoming EP but it didn’t make the cut and is now serving as promotional track for the EP. As expected some good funky house stuff with some epic disco sampling.

I also got some extras for this post. A new remix from Riva Starr for Mason‘s “Corrected”, most of you know Mason from his massive hit Exceeder, will he do the same thing with this track? Doubt it! This remix is ok, bit boring towards the ending, but it gives me a good reason too mention Riva Starr‘s upcoming release “Splendido” which is being released 24th May, get a small taster right here! Ow yeah, and all you producers out there, there is a remix/edit competition going on for the Mason track, sign up here

End to end this post on a lighter note (rather literally!), check out this new Phantasy Sound give away. It’s a remix/edit from mister Phantasy himself Erol Alkan for the recently released Never Stop from piano extravagant Chilly Gonzales. Sign up for their mailinglist to get early access to these goodies!

I’ve been missing you

It’s been a rather sad Spring in Belgium so far, cold, not much sun, rain … but things are starting to look better if we may believe our “loved” weatherman over here. So let’s get some soundtracks going on. Props go out to Chemical Jump who posted the first two way ahead of me.

First up a track by Louis La Roche that I first heard in this eeuhm … dj set from … euhmm … some time ago. Almost forgot about it and then it suddenly popped up in Chemical Jump’ latest post. The track is called “Missing you” and combines some funky hot beats with some top notch rnb vocal work by Ad Apt. Brilliant as always from our french house/new disco god!

Louis La Roche – Missing You (Feat Ad-Apt)

When Pharell appeared in a short video with our favourite yellow friend Flat Eric it was easy guessing that he would feature in a production of Mr. Oizo. He produced the debut album of Uffie where we indeed bump into Pharell for the track Add Suv. That album will be released the 14th of June by the way. Add Suv was hot on the blogs and so is this Armand Van Helden remix. I’m rather happy that he left the harder beats, like in his Memories remix, behind.

Pharrel Williams & Uffie – Add Suv (Armand Van Helden Club Remix)

And I’m ending with a track that already had his release December last year. It was on the Shorties EP from an American based duo Swivel Hips. The track is called “Smell My Fingers”, it’s not the best track on the EP (you should definitely check out Cheaters and No Future For You) but it pretty much describers the setting of this amazing EP. I’m rather surprised we don’t hear or heard much of them but on facebook they say the next EP is almost finished, I’m curious if they can keep up the same level as this one. BUY the full EP right here!

Busy Me

School has been keeping me away from the search for new tracks but thanks to the holidays I’ve managed to come up with some tracks for a post:

DIRTY SUPER CAR released their Get A Grip EP some time ago on Grand Hotel Records, a brand new London based record label. It is available on beatport and Itunes. Here’s a Vip Edit and the Maximilian remix, my vote goes out for the Vip Edit.

If you live in Londen you can go to a new Grand Hotel event at Fabric on June 4th which is also celebrating the release of their upcoming second release, ‘Egotripping’ by Bonsai Kat, coming with a remix by La electro outfit Human Life. The event line-up includes Plump Djs, Zane Lowe, Dj Zinc, Starsmith, Renaissance Man, Solo and Jokers of the Scene.

The next track comes from C’est Exact Jack. There is not much information about him, all I know is that he’s French, young, and knows how to make filthy tracks apparently.

Loose Cannons

It’s not easy finding some good Electro / House records the last few weeks and I think a lot of people will follow me on that one, let’s hope it’s just a trend before the beginning of the Summer. Today is an exception though, I didn’t have to look further than the GetHypedOnThis inbox. The rather extravagant duo Loose Cannons hit me up with a brand new remix for an older track from Boy 8-Bit. Wolfen is the track they remixed which was released last years Summer and absolutely killed it among many dj sets that Summer. I’m not saying this remix will do the same, but it’s a good damn reason to get some Wolfen-revival going on. Bit harder and aggressive than the original, but that’s what we kids like to hear these days, isn’t it?

Whooz Da Baddest?!

If you’re looking for some chill and relaxed tracks for your lazy holiday then you better skip this post for today. The Cheerz are coming with a brand new EP called Whooz Da Baddest. The Cheerz got some media attention after a couple of remixes and being featured in the Kissy Sell Out Radio show. Their style seems to be going from funky house, to wobbly fidget, to something close to the kuduro sound. The EP is packed to say the least, it has 3 Original tracks and features remixes from Dj Gant-Man, Oliver $, Douster, Big Dope P, Sedat The Turkish Avenger, Dj Hilti, Yolanda Be Cool, Jay Robinson, Mendel, TV On Mars… . Take a look at the complete tracklisting here.
