Straight From The Spring
Straight From The Spring is a FREE (yes FREE!) compilation album brought forward by Scion A/V and Sound Pellegrino. It features tracks/remixes from Gucci Vump, Bart B More, Harvard Bass and more. You can of course expect the typical Sound Pellegrino music with probably the co-operation of Bart B More and Harvard Bass as the main exception, their track “Listen To This” is an absolute banger! So while everybody will be trying to stick Brap in their dj mixes I will be going for this one!

Vietnam (Midnight Conspiracy Remix)
Two weeks ago I finally saw Crystal Castles for the first time. The show was exactly as I thought it would be. I didn’t understand much of Alice her screaming/brabbling and I was afraid I would suffer a epileptic seizure because of the light show, … good stuff! Vietnam is a track from the new album “Crystal Castles II”. The track (and actually most of the album) isn’t that trashy and a bit more easy listening even for not die-hard fans. Midnight Conspiracy made a remix, making it more suitable for the dance floors by adding some new-disco elements.

Alejandero (Mark Lam Dub Mix)
Lady Gaga is destroying the charts time after time with her catchy pop songs and ridiculous weird clips. Alejandero is such a song and when Mark Lam sent me his dub mix I didn’t set high hopes. But damn, this is one sick remix. Besides the Alejandero loop you won’t recognize much of the original in this techno-ish dub remix. Look Ma!
Last summer Valerna suprised me with their raw/dirty remix for a Nine Inch Nails track, you can still get it here. Very trashy stuff, but since then I kinda lost track of them. Valerna is now coming with a brand new EP called “Look Ma, No Pants!!” and as I can hear from the soundcloud previews it is sounding very raw again! Oh Yeah!
Housse De Racket is an electronic rock duo who’ve already passed this blog in the past. I recently saw some footage of them playing at an exclusive party for some brand (can’t recall which one) and it was pretty amazing. I’m hoping they’ll find their way to Belgium in the future! Apparently Victor and Pierre (the two guys from Housse De Racket) have done some work in the past with Phoenix (who by the way were amazing at Rock Werchter), Air and more… . We have two new remixes for “Oh Yeah!”, a bit down tempo, but perfect for this hot weather over here! If you liking these remixes you should get the 7′ release with the original and a remix by Chilly Gonzales: right here
