‘Cymatic Frequencies’ an Audio Visual mix by DK

“The Solid Steel radio show regularly features AV mixes alongside the audio and this week DK gives you another treat for eyes as well as your ears with his full on Audio Visual mix ‘Cymatic Frequencies’.
It’s packed full of musical highlights from 2010, Ninja Tune & Big Dada XX celebrations and of course the odd classic thrown in for good measure, all with added visuals (most of them created for each track). No other radio show regularly gives you this ‘visual version of a mixtape’ “

Cosmonaut Grechko

Cosmonaut Grechko is Victor Klyuchnikov, a 19 year old disco producer based in Russia. A classically trained pianist and drummer, started studying music at the age of 6. He sais he has been influenced by music from video games, started listening to Nirvana and Chemical Brothers. I’m a bit surprised that resulted to this fine new disco music, but hey it works!

Have a listen to this amazing, very feel good!, remix for Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Maps. My Sunday is already perfect because of this one!

Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Maps (Cosmonaut Grechko version)

Last night he also did a mixtape for a Russian music station, so don’t mind the Russian brabbling at the beginning and enjoy this Nudisco mixtape! At the end of the mixtape he plays his remix for Chilly Gonzales – You Can Dance which is being released the 1st March.

The Kobra Kai

Kobra Kai ???!!!

It’s been a while since I posted some good funky house! New found artist “The Kobra Kai” sent us two fresh productions featuring some old school funky samples! Huge plans coming from this guy, he announced that he will launch a record label in the coming months. Beside producing and dj’ing he also manages Deepsession in Italy responsible for several events in Roma! Will we here more from The Kobra Kai or his label in the future? The chances are small I think, but still the tracks deserve some credit, too bad Say What U Will sounds poorly mastered?
