I saw Strip Steve posting a stream of his new remix this afternoon and I was so eager to hear it, but I was at work and didn’t have my earphones with me. I had to wait until right about now before I could listen to this one. Not that I had to work that late, but gf and stuff, you know how it goes.
So how did it sound to me? Perfect, typical Strip Steve remix, you can recognize his style from miles away and that’s a good thing! Old school sounds, vocal loops, clubbish vibe, what do we need more? The track Strip Steve remixed is ‘Movin’ by the up and coming (for my part they are already ‘up’) duo Light Year. It will be released on the ’5 REMIXE5′ EP featuring Harvard Bass, The Finger Prince, Malente, Alex Gopher and of course Strip Steve. Release is set for the 1st of July on Bang Gang records.
Huge fan of this Dutch treesome Nobody Beats The Drum since their track Grindin, very powerful track accompanied by an amazing stop-motion clip (check it right here). Their next EP “Poisson Vert” also catched my eye first before it catched my … euhm … ears! The clip is by the same director and is another stop-motion masterpiece, I already posted this one on our facebook page so let us discus the music here instead!
Poisson Vert is again a very strong and powerful track that will blow your mind especially live I think. Because the EP is released on Boemklatsch Records you can expect some regulars for the remixes being Shameboy, TWR72 and a newcomer (for me atleast) Meneo who come with somewhat of a real mind-fuck remix. First a huge built up, making you expect a real epic bangor, but after the drop the BPM goes down drastic giving a very weird effect! Eventually I’ll have to say that the Shameboy remix is my favourite for adding much more synths and sounds to the original.
This week I got back from a trip to Barcelona. I was walking around somewhere near the main tourist street “La Rambla” when I suddenly saw a guy with a TUFF EM UP RECORDS tshirt. Not that Tuff Em Up is a very small label, but it isn’t very big either! I was bumped out I wasn’t wearing mine, would have been quite the coincidence. So the dude walking in Barcelona with a Tuff Em Up shirt: identify yourself!!
Anyway, to get to the point, there’s a really cool new EP coming to TUFF EM UP records. You’ll have to be a bit patient, because the track is already up for stream but the download wont be activated until the 30th this month, have a listen and mark that day in your agenda, because this remix from Redial for the new Barretso track “Celeste” is incredible. I’m a complete sucker for the vocal work!
10 days off, mostly known as 10 days of electronical music madness! But Moonlight Matters brings a completely different madness, check out this 45 minute mixtape with remixes of himself, the new hyped track Happy House by Shindu, Erol Alkan’s rework for Metronomy and more … . Long stretched mixes, very very veeeery enjoyable!
Hello everybody, I am 3000. And I am one of the new bloggers at GetHypedOnThis. You’ll often see me posting lots of techno stuff, or electro with techno hints or whatever. But I like a lot of music, so you’ll see a lot of different music passing by. And I guess that’s it, so far the introduction.
Let’s start things of with a blast, a new track from SebastiAn straight from his new album ‘Total’.
Ado is doing big things the last few months, his remixes are always smashing.
