Clouds – Articles (Vakkuum Remix)

Picked this one up from the Gotta Dance Dirty blog (love that website, quality posting). Vakkuum gave this next remix away as a free download a good month ago. If you missed it like I did, grab it below, more future techno madness which will reign high this year!

Lektroluv update!

Okay, so our Belgian readers know what Lektroluv has been up to the last few days/weeks/months, amazing stuff time after time. But for our foreign readers who aren’t so familiar with the Belgian Lektroluv label, here is a quick update!

New Sound of Stereo mixtape, I posted their new upcoming EP “Volt” which is also seeing its release on Lektroluv. This mixtape is for their residency on Studio Brussel Switch.

Next up a new EP of the two mad scientist better known as Mumbai Science. Their next ep is number two in the ‘Unified Theory’ trilogy. The two new tracks Reality and Transcendence yet again sound so fresh and different, it’s a mystery to me how they are pulling this off. Already getting siked for part 3!

New in the Lektroluv family: Modek. His latest EP ‘Willow/Dust’ brings the more rougher electro to the label, but that’s still how the Belgian crowd likes it. His remixes are getting more and more popular among the big players in the scene and his own productions wont take long to get there too. Personal favourite is Willow which sounds brutal on a big soundsystem.

Last but not least, the doctor himself is coming with a new mix cd. The mix was recorded at Xxxperience Festival in Brazil when he was touring there in December. Soon available on iTunes.

Tom EQ – Tunes Wot I Like Mix Tape

It’s been sooooo long since I posted some quality jackin house. Was a big big fan of the “music genre” when it started booming with producers as Foamo, Mightyfools, Hijack and this guy: Tom EQ, still playing his killer remix/bootleg of “I Like Big Butts”. So let’s do some catching up and see why it’s still awesome music to listen to.

Big Mouth

Loving the stuff coming from Santigold these days. Studio Brussel is playing the new Spank Rock ft. Santigold “Car Song” frequently which always get me in a good mood. The new Spank Rock album, which is produced by Boys Noize, is also worth checking out by the way! Back to Santigold, her latest single “Big Mounth” got produced by Switch and Buraka Som Sistema, this second one I guessed immediately after listening to the first 10 seconds, you’ll get why. Check out the single as a free download below!

PIPES

Interesting new mixtape coming from the new found Bromance family/label. No future techno sounding riffs this time, but a mix of house and 90′s hip-hop by L.A. based duo Pipes. The mixtape features track from own production to get promo going for an upcoming ep, keep your eyes open for that one if you’re digging this mixtape.

Sound Of Stereo – Volt EP

If we’re a bit honest we all know Sound of Stereo was kind of getting lost in the shadow of Mumbai Science who took to spot among popular artist of the Lektroluv crew in no time. But of course we haven’t forgot this amazing duo who kinda turned things upside down in the belgian dance scene some time ago. And they are now back with a brand new EP coming the 20th Februari on Lektroluv records. The EP is called Volt EP and features two originals and two remixes. We see SCNTST pop-up again (this kid is everywhere nowadays!) and newcomer (at least for my knowledge) Transistorcake who is delevering the most interesting track on the EP by my opinion. Another EP to look forward to.

Music submissions #1

So with the “back to basic” layout we also introduced music submission by our little form right here. We already got some first responses from our readers and if we get a nice amount of submissions on a regular base I’ll try putting them together in posts like these (see it like a new series). Unfortunately we can’t post all tracks we get, we only pick our absolute favourites, so if your track didn’t get picked, don’t give up and keep ‘em coming in the future!

In this first batch we have a new disco-club tainted track by Slim Fit, a cool bootleg with funky lyrics but with some nasty dubstep drops by Positive Vibr8ions and a more dark remix of Dada Life’s Happy Life by Jingizu.

All That Fuzz – The Dark Edition

Big, big, big up to Fuzz-mag for pulling this one of again. The website fuzz-mag.be is coming with another compilation this time featuring some of the best dubstep and drum&bass exclusively from Belgium. With the title being “The Dark Edition” I feared to hear a lot of skrillex-like grim sounding stuff, but to my surprise the tunes represent a much bigger quality with a lot of deep, but not ear-upfucking, tracks. Respect to the fuzz-mag crew, keep them coming. Stream the complete compilation below, our use the next download link:

Big fan of the Brodinski remix, but here is the official clip for the original track. Typical Justice video
