Back 2 Basic

First time I’m doing this, but I love this project so much that I have to be straight forward to some of the blog fans and regular visitors. I started this website as a small lame blog in 2008 and slowly the blog grew in size, quality and popularity. I tried to get content as fresh as possible and to re-invent the website all the time, new layouts were created, some more functionality and so on. I wanted the blog to grow out to be a community. But …

With all these plans and ideas I kind of lost time and track of why I started this website in the first place: share my love of music. I tried to get other people involved while I lost my own involvement and even interest in the website (hence the lots of ups and downs in activity). The latest website layout was an attempt to step away from the blog aspect and become more of a “magazine” style like website. But this kind of stranded because a lack of my time and inspiration.

Now, where am I going with all of this? I’m throwing aboard a lot of stuff I tried to do the last few months. We’re going back to a “normal” blog website and I will be posting my love for music, art, culture and so on … So back to basic, back to where we were a good year ago and eventually how it should be. So expect no-nonsense media, sometimes not the latest news and tracks but probably still only the best.

Hope this all makes sense to those who even took the time to read this. I also hope with the new state of mind of the website and myself I can manage to squeeze in more time (or better spend time) in more regular updates. Any comments, likes or dislikes on this … don’t hold back!

Man this blog is what got me into electronic music in the first place. Been following it since the beginning. You introduced me to lektroluv records and I haven’t looked back since. Even inspired me to start doing a bit of blogging myself and I completely understand what you mean about trying to squeeze in the time. It’s tough! Cannot wait to see you back on form.

Just wanted to say that you are doing a great job, and also as “The Analog Worm” wrote you inspired me to start my own music blog and you introduced me to so much new music! Cheers!

If this website will go down, a little piece of myself with die with it. Honestly, i dont know anything about the views on this website, but i honestly hope GHOT will continue smacking me in the face with epic tunes for a long, long time. Im pretty sure many people will back me up when i say this is one of my ALL TIME favorite websites. Please keep up the good work <3
