Smooooth

How you like the post image? Completely random isn’t it? Hope it fits the post … in some way or another. Picked some nice entries out of the gethypedonthis mailbox and it must be the summer coming up because almost all entries were “nu disco” / “electro pop” like. Except for Louis La Roche all the names are completely new to me, but there is some great potential behind these ones. The first two are available as a free download by the way!

It’s been a while since I did some shameless self promoting so … here it is! A brand new mixtape, it seems to be ages ago since I recorded something, but it’s been quiet way to long around my dj related stuff and really want to get things going again a long side an active blog of course!

Just Kiddin – Wildlife EP

The Italian La Valigetta clearly has a weak spot for quality french house/nu disco, this next one ain’t different. Just Kiddin is a House producing duo from the UK and their collaboration with La Valigetta resulted in the amazing EP “Wild Life”. 3 originals and 5 remixes. Grab the free remix by Tagteam and check out all the other tracks below. If you’re liking these sun-tainted house tracks, grab them on Beatport!

Nautiluss – Flutesnoot

Free give away by Nautiluss, one of his first tracks produced under that alias and reworked for his dj sets. It’s a cool relaxed track with a nice and steady build up! Also check out his recently released EP “ALPHA” which was released on Turbo Recordings last month, the track “Mixed Numbers” is one my current favourite tracks at the moment. So, check out his last EP on Beatport and get the free download below!

Syndaesia EP

Don’t be fooled by the soothing oriental intros, the tracks on this next EP are heavy dancefloor killers. Syndaesia is the next up and coming talent on the Broken Music records. The EP will release pretty soon (normally today if I’m not mistaking) and features 3 originals. So keep an eye on the Broken Music page and pick up the release as soon as it comes available. In the meantime you can already have a listen below. I’m thinking Syndaesia found the original Prince of Persia soundtracks a bit to boring?!

GHETTOS & GARDENS

Picked up this very dope album on Beatport, it’s called Ghetto’s & Gardens and is the return of Justin Martin to dirtybird records. It’s been since 2005 that Justin Martin something on the label, but the waiting is over for his much anticipated debut album. A lot of variated tracks on this release, from long melody tracks with serene vocals to heavy drops with that typical UK bassline. My favourite tracks are Hood Rich, Ghetto’s & Gardens and especially his personal remake for Kemistry, taking that one with me in my next dj sets for sure. Have a listen to the preview below and pick up the full album on Beatport!

Super Super

New release on the Belgian Monkey See Monkey Do label. Couldn’t have come on a better day because it’s ridiculously hot in Belgium today and I needed some music to enjoy outside in the sun. Super Super are two producers from Germany and their sound fits perfectly within the Monkey See Monkey Do crew. But I’ll be honest, the real candy in this EP are the 6 remixes including remixers as Faisal, Wolfie, Kinne, etc. Check them all out on Beatport and stream the full Originals below!

Disclosure

Kinda lost the need to follow music on foot and blog about it. You know how it goes … work, time, other hobbys, some dj’ing here and there, le girlfriend (yes I’ve been following 9gag in the meantime …), but I’m staring to miss it and with so much good and fresh music coming my way I decided to pick back up where I left it (again, for like the 100th time, I know!).

One of those “new” and fresh producers revamping my blogging spirit is Disclosure. I’m so so madly in love with all their tracks. Deep, warm house music combined the most sexy vocals … ever! Who disagrees with me should probably stop following this blog, because more of that stuff coming up!

At the top you’ll find the 1h20 mix they did for Mixmag DJ Lab, you can also download it right here, it’s a rip from the youtube video so that quality ain’t that amazing.

Mumbai Science – 128 Memories Per Minute Official Trailer

‘Mumbai Science’ is the brainchild of Belgian techno-gurus Maarten Elen and Jonas Kiesekoms. Widely supported by artists the likes of Boys Noize, Erol Alkan and fellow Belgians Soulwax, they are no longer strangers to the scene. Signed to the notorious ‘Lektroluv Records’, the duo has released club anthems like Ancova, Gold, Lotus and more recently their ‘Unified Theory’ trilogy.

Now, the duo presents a remarkable new video project in cooperation with aooa.tv. The video series, called “128 Memories per Minute”, capture instants of their tour life in somewhat epileptic fashion, on the rythm of their own tracks. According to them: “The series is some kind of tour diary, capturing the awesome and less awesome moments on the road. There are no rules to it. We just read in a Psychological research paper that keeping a journal enhances your life and general well-being. We really understand ourselves better now.” Check the trailer below!
