U Know & The Drill – You Got Me EP
Been a while since I shined a spotlight on the amazing dutch “Basserk” label. Their latest release is from U Know & The Drill a new formed duo from (I think) The Netherlands. Their EP is a nice mixup of some old school House and what you would call “Bass music”. Two tracks on the EP: “You Got Me” and “Hoes and Discoes” (I like that one!). You can grab it on Beatport right here.
Don Rimini – Fear Of Missing Out (Update!)
Don Rimini disappeared from under the radars for a while (at least under my radar). I think he did a live tour or something… . Anyway, now he’s back with his fifth EP “Fear Of Missing Out”. Pounding electro music with a (huge) eye wink to disco music. Below you can hear a smile minimix of the EP with the tracks “FOMO”, “The Future Is Ours” and “Highlight”. The actual release also comes with a remix by Treasure Fingers & Malente for the track “FOMO”, must get my hands on that one! Release date should be 23th of November on No Brainer Records.

Kaytranada
Found this guy through Rynecologist who posted Kaytranada‘s latest remix for the dancefloor classic “Modjo – Lady” on his facebook. After hearing how brilliant this remix was I looked a bit further on Kaytranada’s soundcloud page and found more of this! Quality remixes ranging from House to Hip-hop and more experimental electronic stuff. Show this guy from Montreal, Canada some love!

Feels Good (Moonlight Matters Dub)
Shame I had to miss his set at I Love Techno, but his set time was really early so we were still at the Red Bull Elektropedia Awards at that time. Moonlight Matters scored big with his edit for Ben Howard’s The Fear (hitting number 1 on the Hypem chart) and now his latest dub/remix/edit however you like to call it is up for free grab as well. It’s a dub version of Punks Jump Up – Feels Good which saw it’s release on the Kitsuné label! Disco galore!

Duke Dumont – The Giver Remixes
Holy f*cking crap, can’t wrap my head around how much I love this release. Duke Dumont absolutely killed it in 2012. For Club Play Only 1 and 2 are both in my top 5 releases of this year. My favorite track from that latest release (For Club Play Only 2) is “The Giver”. Totally lose myself in that vocal loop every single time. This track now got a nice remix treatment by Turbo Recordings regulars Gingy & Bordello, Tiga, Locked Groove (Belgian techno power!!) and Lando Kai (oké this last one might not be as regular as the rest …). Pointing out Gingy & Bordello + Locked Groove as my favorit ones, but have a listen yourself! Release next week!
AMTRAC – How Can She
Picked this one up from Treasure Fingers his facebook page. It seems Treasure Fingers is back fan of AMTRAC who is by his saying one of the “most underrated dudes in the game”. A quick look-up shows me this guys is from Louisville, Kentucky and is indeed showing some amazing producing skills. This next track “How Can She” is a free download. Very funky and chill at the same time. Maybe overdid the vocal loop just a little bit in the beginning, but I already forgot about that remark half way the track. Show the guy some love!
