Most likely you’ve heard of Sleeper from his deep, dungeon-style dubstep releases on Chestplate Recordings. He started 2013 with something completely different though: a genuine techno album! Calling this release (featuring eleven tracks, all over 6 minutes) an EP is just way too unpretentious. Let’s hope he’ll make more of this stomping, energetic techno! Check out the full EP below. If you’re a fan of techno there’ll definitely be something in it for you!
You can download each track individually for £1 or more, or save some money and buy all 10 tracks for just £7 or more and receive a hidden bonus track for free!
Whitesquare is an Italian producer with a love for deep house. He has made some fine bootlegs in the past, which you can download for free on his Facebook profile. Check out his take on Joy Orbison’s “Hyph Mongo” and I’m sure you’ll be convinced of his producing skills.

It’s been more than a year since me and my brother (aka The Hoax) made our last mixtape (you can still find that one here), so we thought it was time to make another one. We’ve chosen to make two separate mixes this time, one containing nothing but dubstep, the next one will be all about drum & bass (coming soon). If you likes our mixtapes, go like our facebook page to keep you updated!
Great job by Shutter Photography capturing the immense vibes at UKFRampage. I was there as well and had a great night. In case you missed out on this one, there will be another edition in Lotto Arena the 29th of September. See you there!

I’m not the biggest fan or specialist considering grime music, but every now and then I bump into something that I can really dig. What brought me to this EP? Following dubstep producer Filth Collins on the good ol’ facebook. He produced one of the tracks on a guy called Footsie‘s new (free) EP. Apart from Filth Collins track, which I think is really sick, there’s some great stuff on this EP. Plus, the vocal work by Footsie is heavy as well. So just check out the tune below, and download the track (or better: the whole EP) if you can dig this.

So Untitled! has launched a brand new record label called Level.01 Recordings (referring to the smaller room at the famous Untitled!-parties). The label is said to be focusing on ‘all good things bass’. Well that can’t be too bad, no? The first release is one of up-and-comer Daily, whose productions I’ve been following for a while now. I could really hear him grow with every new track he delivered, now finally resulting in his debut EP. A great remix by Voltron is included as well. The artwork was done by Beatcave.
Talking about Beatcave, I noticed they had their first event coming up, appropriately titled ‘BEATCAVE‘. The line up holds some of the freshest Belgian talent, featuring upcoming producer Locked Groove, Daily, Jonas Lion (check out his latest, rather laid back mixtape here) and 1901.
Details about the event are here.
If you haven’t heard of Locked Groove yet, let me introduce him to you. This Belgian fellow named Tim Van de Meutter just got his debut 12″ called “Rooted EP” signed and released on Hotflush Recordings.
In a short period of time, Locked Groove received a lot of support, which didn’t leave the almighty TURBO Recordings unnoticed. A release can be expected around the end of spring. A couple of days ago Mixmag uploaded a mix by Thomas Von Party, featuring some of the unreleased tracks that TURBO has up its sleeve. Apparently the new Lock Groove-track can be heard at 20:11. I have to say it sounds big! Check it out!
I came across this pretty great dubstep album called “Bandit Country”, produced by Doomtrooper and Dr Bloodnugget, both total strangers to me. They released on their own label Illicit Trade. The album shows a lot of variety and many different influences in its songs. You can preview three tracks below, you’ll find the rest at Beatport.

I think for the last tune they were influenced by mystery producers The Aliens. U WOT!
