My god it’s finally here. Ever since Afrojack posted this video (watch it) of bangduck in his studio I was trying everything to get my hands on the track. To the ones who think it sounds like Bangkok: “It’s not called Bangduck without a reason duh”. Afrojack kinda made a track to diss Boris Duglosch for “copying” his sound and making a track with it. I also think that it resembles to “Cool (Afrojack Remix)”, but Afrojack just wanted to show other dj’s to keep their hands of his tracks. You won’t hear me complaining!

Third post in the Dubstep Round Up series. Let’s start things off with a whole lotta Circus Records. The label founded by Flux Pavilion and Doctor P holds some of the biggest (filth) dubstep producers who make the most sought-after dubplates.
Doctor P turned 12th Planet’s Reasons in what you could say an updated version of Sweetshop, his biggest hit so far. This tune will definitely get the crowd movin! Another dubplate that has been rockin’ parties worldwide comes from Flux Pavilion. Great vocals followed by a big ass drop. And then there’s Funtcase with a forthcoming big tune: “Takin The Piss”.

GetDarkerTV: Circus Records Takeover: GetDarker invited the Circus Records crew over for a 4 hour live stream of dubstep madness. A lot of people were having troubles connecting to the live event (it took me about a half hour). Luckily for them the sets were recorded and are available for download! (Links seem to be down atm. Download the podcasts on iTunes)
A collaboration between TC and Joker: a match made in heaven. It’s only a radio rip from Annie Mac’s show on BBC Radio One, but it’s too good not to share it. Also be sure to check out “Tron” on his myspace player, another one to look out for!

Belgian upcoming producer Vyron made this dark, heavy remix of Psycho Gorilla. We’ll definitely hear more of this guy in the future.

Grime Ministers EP is a free release – which can be found here – with tunes by Document One and J-Me. I prefer the productions by Document One.

Check out this sick video (using parts of tv series Dexter) for one of L-Wiz‘ latest tunes “Mexter Dorgan”. L-Wiz, part of All Out Dubstep (Swedish dubstep crew), is mostly known for his laidback track “Girl From Codeine City”. This one’s a lot heavier!

Last track already. Dark Sky is a UK based dubstep collective. Their entry for the Bonobo remix competition is one of the best tunes I’ve heard all year. There are still a few days left so do them a favour and give them your vote here.

I’m absolutely clueless when trying to divide the next few tracks into a specific genre, but I guess in the end the boundaries between music genres are getting smaller and smaller. So as you can expect from the title I’m not going to post wobbly dubstep tunes or trash/rave electro tracks, but instead some minimalistic/progressive music (I think!).
The biggest focus for todays post goes to the next EP “Levels” from Lazersonic & Zak Frost a “duo” from the UK. It’s their second release and gained some support from the likes of David Guetta on his “F**k Me I’m Famous” radio show (is this a good thing?). The EP contains a Club remix, a Dub remix, a Orginal remix, two remixes from Shadow Dancer and a remix from Kill The Hero. The digital EP is already released on channels such as Beatport and iTunes. And for you we got the Original, the Kill The Hero a remix and one of the remixes by Shadow Dancer. The vocals , by the way, are from the same guy (Ali Love) who did the vocals on Do It Again from The Chemical Brothers.

Another track that fits in this post perfectly (maybe a bit stronger then the previous ones though) is a remix by Deux Helix from the US. He remixed Boys Noize – Transmission. I heard all the remixes on the official EP releases and I think this one kicks the asses of some of those official remixes!

I can’t remember the last time I posted something and that really pisses me of. My computer crashed like a month ago so I was completely of the globe. Now I finally got a brand new laptop so I can start posting again. It has also been a while since we posted some trashy electro, so what better way than to start with a free EP from Owl Vision. The EP includes remixes of Fckn Crew, IKKI and Underhall. I was really surprised by the outcome, my favourites are the original and Fckn Crew’s version!

Almost three years after Testarossa Autodrive, Kavinsky finally returns with Nightcall EP. Knowing that the title track is co-produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (1/2 Daft Punk), has Lovefoxxx from CSS and Kavinsky himself on vocals and is mixed by SebastiAn, you just know expectations are incredibly high. Remixes come from Dustin N’Guyen (word on the street says this is Xavier De Rosnay from Justice) and Jackson. The EP will see its release on March 22nd.
It seems like ages since I last posted something. I’ve been rather busy to say the least, but everything is back on track like it should be and the future is looking very promising! Next post is nothing special, good tracks and just a way of showing: I’m back in the game!
Not much bangers being released lately (from the big names that is), but we still get some interesting tracks in our inbox now and then. I’m going to kick off with a track featuring Hypesquad, I do post a mixtape from these guys regularly. Lately they also have been focussing on producing stuff (heard some very promising previews already). They teamed up with the Bandwidth Hogs and brought forth this funky gypsy-like track which has a lot going from Riva Starr’s I Was Drunk.

Now I’m going to jump straight to some heavier stuff. It’s a fresh remix from Peo de Pitte, who apparently scored rather well with his remix for riverside. This next remix is from an old school track called “breathe” from French electronic trio Télépopmusik which won a Grammy Award for best dance track in 2004. Very heavy, almost sounding like some kind of machine going completely beserk, but the more relaxed vocal parts in-between are the ones that got me hooked.

The Bloody Beetroots are currently hitting venues all over the world with their live act: “Death Crew 77″. I myself didn’t get any tickets for their gig in Brussels, but they are hitting Rock Werchter 2010 so their I hope to experience the same sensation then Justice two years ago. Another artist who is hitting Rock Werchter this year AND always gives the best live performances out there is Vitalic. His latest album Flashmob is yet again amazing! Here is the Bloody Beetroots remix for Vitalic’s Second Lives of which we posted the videoclip (two posts down!)

In these days of mediocre electro releases, it’s always nice to see when Potty Mouth Music puts something new out. They just never disappoint. This time they present the Remix EP of The Bulgarian’s fidget house classic ‘Jack It Like A Zombie’ with Spoek on vocals.
Pounding beats. Heavy synths. Check out this great remix by Nom De Strip. A deeper, funkier remix comes from Wally Callerio, founder of Dufflebag Recordings.

Hulk is a new dubstep project by Claw (from TrillBass) and Richie August. No newcomers to the game, they made a banging dubstep remix blending in perfectly with those great vocals.

In preparation for UK duo Dolby Anol’s upcoming EP/Album Sandy Bitches (set to release April 12th 2010), they are releasing the Cameroon/Macaroon EP on the Tigerbass label. I already found a low quality rip from this track (Cameroon, first track of the 3 track release) a time ago, and I have been listening to it ever since. Dizzying loops, funky disco samples, epic build ups followed by pounding drops, this track absolutely NAILS IT! Yes, I’m in love with it and I bet you will be too! Check out Cameroon in full quality as an exclusive free download! And get the complete EP here: Beatport. Let’s get down to the funky disco!
