AC Slater takes you higher

Our posts frequency isn’t very high these weeks, I know, sorry about that! But during the summer we are all taking things a bit slower and are busy with a lot of other stuff of course (being the festivals etc!). I’m sure we’ll get back on speed from next month or so. In the meanwhile I’m going to try to post some more frequent stuff on our Facebook wall, so be sure to fan up!

It’s also been a while since we posted something from AC Slater even though this awesome producer was in our 2009 favorite producers selection! We got for you his remix for Cooler couleur from the Crookers (ft. Yelle) and a mixtape from a few days ago. His approach to the remix is way different from what we got from Junkie XL’s one, bit darker and rougher. Quick fact about Yelle, she’s currently working on a new album with producers: GrandMarnier, Tepr, and Siriusmo (especially the last one is interesting!)

Play The Record Again

The latest tune by AC Slater, sampling Henry Rollins in one of his spoken word shows. As expected, this came out as a banging track. He did it again!

As a bonus I included an older track from AC Slater’s hardcore days, using the same vocal sample. It’s a collab with the Panacea. This is really heavy stuff. NSFW…

Here’s a random selection of some of the tracks I’ve been playing a lot the last couple of days. It’s all electro-related stuff, here we go.

First of all, Big Dope P‘s “Southside Anthem” gets a ravey remix by Doan. Some old school synths on top of nice rap-vocals, just awesome. Doan is a member of DJ duo TV On Mars. They have some very cool tunes as well so check out their myspace!

The original mix of the next track, “Gladiator”, was a good banger already, but my favorite producer AC Slater managed to make it even bigger. AutoErotique is the successful follow up to Vandalism (aka VNDLSM), so they’ve been around for some time now. Buy the Gladiator EP on iTunes.

Nightshifters Are Back!

Here’s a new Ep from the awesome label Nightshifters.
Nightshifters are here to release raving tracks and make parties better.
Some of the artists contributing: AC Slater, Hostage, Rob Threezy, DJ Donna Summer and Proper Villains.
For this release they’ve let CT Burners produce with Jubilee (a female DJ).
The Squire Of Gothos, WZRDZ and DJ Donna Summer got to make a remix.
Known for their generosity, they often give some free tracks away from every release.
This time, the whole release can be downloaded for free. That’s right.

Track-Mania

A quick small Track-Mania just before I get back to studying (again?).

First up the latest remix from LAZRtag. These guys remix practically everything going from Britney Spears to Crystal Castles. But this time they remixed an old classic one, Smooth Criminal from Michael Jackson. In the end a track which can’t go wrong at partys, the famous vocals of Michael Jackson covered with a nice electro layer! Don’t forget to check their other remixes at their myspace.

Then the newest track from AC Slater, who really scored good with his Jack got jacked. His newest track is called “Party like us”. It’s not only the name of his newest track but also the name of his just launched record label. The track itself is a typical AC Slater track with wobbly fidget sounds and heavy bass! Good intro by the way.

Already a few days old, but for all those who missed it on other blogs perhaps, I’ve uploaded the latest Bloody Beetroots remix for The All-American Rejects – Gives you hell. The remix is part of digital DJ promo for the track “Gives you hell” and includes other remixes from artist as Ocelot, The Limousines (don’t ask me who they are!). Anyway the track itself starts of rather relaxed, and actually stays rather relaxed (even though that’s not really the word I’m looking for). But I expected a bit rougher and harder remix from them.

New Track-Mania, an opportunity to post the latest fidget bangers in the scene.
First of all, a new track from Crux da house’s Mom & Dad , don’t be fooled, it’s not from their latest EP. Just an unreleased remix of a classic Mark Anthony song (not sure) anyway, it’s pretty decent! Check it out.
