X-mas track-gift extravaganza!

I’m a bit late with my christmas (or w/e) post, but it’s that time of year a lot of producers decide to give away free tracks. I’ve been saving up all (or most of them) for this post. Hello again

My last post here is almost two weeks ago, for what it’s worth I had a lot of stuff going on and hard decisions to make. The decision I made will hopefully benefit the website in the future, more on that later. So what’s music been telling me lately:

Some nice releases went down this month, Gesaffelstein – Variations probably my favourite one of this month along with the newest release on BNR Trax, a side/sub label of Boys Noize Records reaching back to the old school roots. Shadow Dancer did release number two and this is how it sounds!

Shadow Dancer – It’s The Everything

Returning closer to home, a new release on Monkey See Monkey Do label, I didn’t even know this label still existed. Wolfie brings an EP with 3 original tracks and 4 remixes. All very tropical/bongo-like/housy tracks, making me immediately forget how cold it is outside.

Some time ago I posted the Gui Borrato remix for Arsenal – Estupendo. Estupendo was the first single in America and in the meanwhile Arsenal is growing their in popularity and release a second single Lotuk. Also this one got remixed, this time by Inflagranti, a bit less deep house like the Gui Borrato one, but a bit more funky house with a rather heavy bass!

Shaved Monkeys EP

Today saw the release of the debut EP by the Shaved Monkeys, coming from Ghent, Belgium. Their tune “Get Rough” (we already posted a teaser back in January), got remixed by Underhall, Aerotronic, Distrakt and Soda ‘n’ Suds. The EP is released by none other than CRUX Records!

First Blood

Another banging new release on the Monkey See Monkey Do label, this time from rave,trash,electro rockers Aerotronic. The EP is called “First Blood” and is available on iTunes, Beatport and Juno. The EP features 3 tracks Ravers nightmare, Bezerk and Helicopter. Ravers nightmare is by far my favourite track, amazingly raw and absolutely not for the weak hearted! I guess in the end this description counts for all 3 tracks. You can completely pre listen the EP in the soundcloud embedded below!
