NLarge your remixes

In the summer of 2010 Don Rimini released his EP “NLare your parties”, now one year later those tracks get fresh workover by an interesting serie of producers: BeatauCue, Tagteam Terror, His Majesty Andre, Keith & Supabeatz, Klever, Pony Pony Run Run, Tony Senghore, The Subs, The Town and Kido and a club edit by Don Rimini himself. We can share two remixes already (in lower quality that is). Already two big names: His Majesty Andre’ remix for “Whatever” (my favourite for it’s very summerish vibe!) and Beataucue’ remix for “G.O.O.D.”. Sounds very promising!

Disque Oh!

BeatauCue‘s new ep “Disque Oh!” is released today on the brilliant Kitsuné label! The EP features the original along with 5 remixes, Don Rimini, High Rankin, J-Wow, Piemont and Eumig & Chinon. Really enjoying this EP because of the nice polished, but subtle French House influences. Have a listen to small preview or buy the ep in the Kitsuné webshop or if you need some more convincing, here is the Euming & Chinon remix, which has a nice electro/rock jam going on, for free and a full stream of the DnB remix by High Rankin.

Brrrat!

A good two weeks ago I posted this youtube video on our facebook page. It’s a recording from Steve Aoki at a gig in Russia where he dropped his collaborating with Armand Van Helden called: “Brrrat!”. The biggest suprise (a part from the track being a real banger!) was that it’s going to be released on a fresh Belgian label “Midnight Munchies“.

The first package is set to release the 21st September (Beatport Exclusive!) with remix by UK based producers Will Bailey and His Majesty Andre. A second package will follow soon with remixes by Bart B More, Netsky and BeatAuCue something to look forward to say the least! I’m curious which future releases Midnight Munchies will bring!

BeatauCue – ChaChaStep mixtape

It seems like a lot of producers have stopped producing new tracks but instead started making mixtapes. Let them have their well-deserved rest, let’s just hope that they will pick up producing after the summer!

BeatauCue for example have made a surprising mixtape, not their usual bleeps but actually another side of them. Apparently the two are loving some dubstep during the summer. They’ve made a mixtape filled with dupstep bangers, they even put in a very own dupstep remix! Let your ears be the judge.

Hot

Belgium is getting his first heatwave of the Summer and as some of you probably read on our facebook page we all took some time to catch our breath after school. That’s why the blog hasn’t been very alive, but don’t worry we’ll be posting frequently again soon. In the mean while I’m writing up the second part of the Les Ardentes guide and giving you the following few tracks straight from the inbox.

Admiral Freebee is a name I wasn’t expecting, but there he is. I’m guessing he’s trying to launch himself across the borders of Belgium. This next remix is from DJ Harvey for the track “My Hippie Ain’t Hip”. A combination of guitar rifs and minimal electro working suprisingly well.

Admiral Freebee – My Hippie Aint Hip (Harvey Remix)

Blende Adam Freeland and Etienne De Crecy and you get … the following track.

Adam Freeland – How To Fake Your Own Life (Etienne De Crecy Remix)

Swoon from the Chemical Brothers might become a big hit during this Summer. Original or Boys Noize remix? I don’t care they are both awesome. Another awesome track coming from the same album is Horse Power. Here’s the Kovary remix who added some more punch to the track.

The Chemical Brothers – Horse power (Kovary remix)

Not a big fan from BeatAuCue, think their productions are a bit over hyped (in my opinion). But this remix is far from bad. Nice hipsters lyrics with a nice vibe in the background.

Florrie – 911 (BeatauCue remix – JBAG edit)

Don Rimini worked himself up high rather fast. Last year he killed it at Pukkelpop and Transardentes, didn’t see both of them, but he’s back in Belgium next week for Les Ardentes and this time I’m not going to miss it. His new EP which is being released 5 July will most definitely be in his playlist and we have one track for free from that EP.

Don Rimini – All About

Capt and Cooked got a lot of good responds for their youtube bootleg of Sebastian – Threnody. Here is one of their latest remixes for the Klaxons – Flashover. Anyone have news on a new album of the Klaxons? Let us know!

Katy Perry seems to have scored another chart hit with her California Girls featuring Snoop Dogg. Dj Barlette hooked us up with his remix. Very fresh with the typical Barletta signature.

Ow yeah, and we strongly recommend Stella Artois beer as your summer beverage!

Rock the disco!

Small selection of rocking, bumping and funking tracks. First a freebee coming yet again from the Phantasy label. It’s the Beataucue remix for the immense hyped (and for good reasons) Yeah Techno! from Paul Chambers. For those who found the original and Soulwax mix to be too much techno and not enough electro, this will do the trick.

Paul Chambers – Yeah, Techno! (Beatacue Remix) (Removed on request)

Now some stuff from across the Atlantic sea (America I guess?) a new track from the pop electro trio Hyper Crush. The Track is called AYO! and is produced by Diplo which you immediately hear. Not the most original track out there at the moment but this track will definitely work for the large crowds.

Hyper Crush – Ayo (Prod. By Diplo)

Another celeb from those areas is Steve Aoki, he made this remix for Nikki & Rich. Their originals is a mixture of pop, hip-hop and classic 60′s music. Of course our friend Steve Aoki added the usual bleeps and beats and we got ourselfs a decent electro track and what is left of Nikki’s vocals! And as an extra I threw in a remix by legend and pioneer Jazzy Jeff (yes, that dude from The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air).

Nikki & Rich – Next Best Thing (Jazzy Jeff Remix)

This one I got from the Chemicaljump blog, it’s a new remix from Laidback Luke for the track “Rock the disco” from Robbie Rivera. Simple and effective electro banger that will get everybody jumping for sure.

Robbie Rivera – Rock The Disco (Laidback Luke Edit)

Another electro banger comes from Modek, his track “Pink” has a name that makes it look like it’s for sissys but it’s anything but for sissys! Very, very, veeeery heavy!

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

Modek – Pink (Original Mix)

Next a small taster for the upcoming Swivel Hips EP “Headlines” releasing this Summer! This track is called Raffaella. Old school sample work with the better funky house out their!

The Disco Villians left the electro banger/trash genre a bit behind them and focussed mainly on Tech House the last two productions, they are currently looking for a label to release this next track “La Boa”. Good stuff. They didn’t bail on the electro genre, so we can expect some nice collaborations this Summer.

Yeah Techno

Finally! Our good friend Paul Chambers found a record label for his track “Yeah Techno”. Phantasy is the label who’s picking this one up. It didn’t come as surprise because Erol Alkan had nothing but good to say about it, after getting it from his good friends 2manydj’s. The EP is set to release 13th of June on your favourite Digital platform and there will also be a limited press on vinyl (250 to be exact, including a free poster!) which should already be available by the end of this month. The EP will include the remixes by Soulwax (AWESOME!) and Beataucue. Can’t wait to get my hands on this one.

Jennifer Delano – Amsterdam (Beataucue Remix)

It appears that Beataucue have been to Amsterdam recently and were so fond of the city that they made a name-like remix of Jennifer Delano’s original. I’m also looking forward to their button remix which you can preview here, it will be released on Lektroluv on monday the 25th of January.

French producer Beataucue got into the blog scene after his remix of Pon De Floor, which got some attention.
Here are two newer productions, the Peanuts Club remix being my favorite. He’s got five more remixes in the pipeline, so keep an eye on his myspace.
