Dutch duo Baskerville is doing well for them self. After their first release on the sublabel BNR TRAX “Priam” they now have a second release coming very soon AND they are added to the Boysnoize booking roster. To celebrate all of this they are sharing their unreleased “Synth Coke” as a free download. The track really reminds of the good old “electro days”. The guys have been around for some time now (can find a post dating back to 2009), explaining the old school electro vibe they are still carrying with them! Don’t forget to keep an eye open for their new BNR TRAX release!

An EP with 7 tracks on it as a “preview” for his upcoming album, only a producing machine as SCNTST can pull this off. ‘Premelodic Structures’ shows of his talents yet again and is bringing us sounds ranging from techno, to house, to real club music (not that the previous named genres aren’t “club music”, you get my point!). One track as interesting as the other and totally different as the previous one (you still following me?). I’m looking forward hearing his album next year but for now i’ll settle just fine with this release coming to digital stores at the end of this month.
No introduction for this guy any more. This guy is dropping one killer remix after the other without doing in on the quality. Already teased some of his latest edits on our facebook page, but here are two of them as a free download. Also added two of his recent mixtapes. For our Belgian readers, I think there are still tickets available for MODFEST, Hasselt were SCNTST will be playing, don’t hesitate, good stuff!

Who is That Noize? Inordertodance. What You Want. These tracks should definitely ring some bells, they are taken from Housemeister‘s debut album “Who Is That Noize”. Housemeister has always had a really distinguishing sound and apart from that he always has been a peculiar guy. A few years ago I saw him play a gig at a local party, for starters he looked a bit wasted, so I didn’t got my hopes very high and at that time he was also playing with vinyl. Was it the bad material or just him being wasted but a mix between records couldn’t have gone any wronger… . The crowd lost interest in this, at that time not so popular, dj/producer. I stood loyal to his debut album still enjoying those tracks (even these days) but I didn’t get warm for any new releases and let most of them pass me by.
(This is starting to sound like a bad review isn’t it?) Hell, let’s cut the negative crap, Housemeister’s second album “Music Is Awesome” is … AWESOME! The intro track gives the whole package a nice retro extravaganza feeling (like those old american black&white movies, not like I have seen any, but you know what I mean). The title track “Music Is Awesome” is probably one my least favourites, but what makes up for this track is this brilliant videoclip that goes along with it, there’s also a video contest going on, you should check that one out, got the feeling some funny as stuff is gonna follow out of that one. The album features some high tempo, action packed tracks like Rapide, Twisteras and Saverave as well as more relaxing easylistening tunes like Feed The Robots and Sommer. Also nBaxx featuring Boys Noize is on the album which was previously released on the Shizzo EP by Boys Noize and Housemeister, had some great responds on this track at last weeks gig, you immediately feel the Boys Noize touch on this one when playing it. For my favourite track on the album I’m going for Schnee Von Gestern feat. Jan Driver, another brilliant collaboration which results in a track that will get some reaction from the even more commercial minded crowds I think!
Housemeister has his facts right, music is indeed awesome. And while having a very distinguishing sound I think this EP will reach more then just the “scene”. Must get album for this summer! Oh yeah, the album is out today, but you can still listen to the preview here.
Interesting release last week on BNR TRAX: Bobmo. Not really an artist I expected to see on this sub-label of Boysnoize Records. Okay you’re right, Bobmo does produce very old school sounding stuff but not really the oldschool sounding stuff that we heard in previous release on BNR TRAX. If you understand what I mean. Anyway Bobmo made a 30 minute mix with some interesting tracks in it.
The last release on the main label itself then was Mixhell’ Antigalactic which featured a remix by our beloved Mumbai Science, probably my favourite remix on the EP. Another remix came from Jokers of the scene, a complete other approach to the track with an 8 minute version that gets you into higher atmospheres (or something like that)! Boys Noize himself (and also the boysnoize.com blog) said that the track is free for download, but it’s anything but that for now… . Keep an eye on the soundcloud they’ll probably still activate the download function.
As I expected for 2011 Boysnoize Records is dropping one killer release after the other along with brilliant compilations. The newest compilation is the successor of last years Miami Noize: Miami Noize 2011! All the Boysnoize Record regulars seem to be represented once again with some fresh electronic stuff! Bit surprised to see Listen To This by Bart B More and Harvard Bass being featured again knowing it was a free download last year, anyway the Jan Driver dub remix sounds amazing though. Another track that surprised me (in the teaser mix at least) is Siriusmo’ remix for Boys Noize – Kontact Me, some nasty and dirty dubstep wobbles reminding of of his track “Bad Idea” which is probably even nastier! And for the other tracks, when reading names as Strip Steve and Djedjotronic you just know thinks can’t go wrong. Beatport release: March 14th!
After waiting and waiting, and rumouring and rumouring, and speculating and speculating, it’s finally official! A SUPER ACID compilation, compiled by Boys Noize himself. 12 Acid tracks with a modern touch by mostly boysnoize records artists. The release is set for 31 January of 2011, have a listen to the medley and also read about Boys Noize describing how a Acid track should be made over at the boysnoize blog. Killer compilation, that’s for sure.

Boys Noize Records has been doing great lately. Their latest release “Delta Disco” by Strip Steve really got me pumped. I’m also looking out for the Transmission EP by Boys Noize which is coming out in February. A nice fact about the EP is that it will be divided into two parts, part 1 will be released on the 8th of February while part 2 is set two weeks later. The other main difference between the two parts are the artists remixing it. Part 1 will represent remixes from Mr.Oizo and Djedjotronic and will also include a club and accapella version of the original by Boys Noize himself. Part 2, on the other hand, is filled with remixes by Untold, James Ruskin and the one and only Tiga. Here’s a small medley that will give you a small taste on what to expect:

Another nice remix that I discovered comes from Analyzer. His remix of Nerve really gave the original track more punch by adding some small but very noticable changes. Be sure to check out his blog because he’s got many other tracks/remixes worth checking out!

I would like to end this post with another christmas gift. Boys Noize edited a remix by Siriusmo which he did for Chromeo‘s “Night by Night”.

Today, in my post of Boys Noize’s new album I said Boys Noize and Erol Alkan are coming with two new tracks. 10 minutes later I got the latest news letter from Erol Alkan including a youtube preview of the track ‘Waves’! ‘Waves’/'Death Suite’ will be released on BNR on August 31st.
