Phantasy Gifts

Erol Alkan’s Phantasy label is currently running a blog that features all the newest releases and goodies on the label. On that same blog you can now subscribe on their mailing list for updates on all the latest news AND! exclusive remixes/tracks as this next one. Not much off the original too be recognized in it, but that’s just the beauty of this remix, loving the drum loops.

Boys Noize & Erol Alkan – Lemonade

March 22nd, 2010 | Hyped by EJECT!

One of my favourite EP’s was recently released, 19 March to be exact. Unfortunately I was on holiday during the weekend so I wasn’t able to make this post earlier. This second collaboration with Erol Alkan was becoming one of my obsessions lately, checking how many days left till the release was a daily task. Their first Ep Waves/Death Suite was definitely a great succes, but I’m thinking this one will do better. Avalanche isn’t really my cup of tea but Lemonade makes up for it.

This last track is a remix by Deaf Tunes. Boy did this remix blow my mind, I advise you to turn up your speakers at 0:44. (And the rest of the song offcoures)

progressive, minimal, what?!

March 11th, 2010 | Hyped by REDNIK

I’m absolutely clueless when trying to divide the next few tracks into a specific genre, but I guess in the end the boundaries between music genres are getting smaller and smaller. So as you can expect from the title I’m not going to post wobbly dubstep tunes or trash/rave electro tracks, but instead some minimalistic/progressive music (I think!).

The biggest focus for todays post goes to the next EP “Levels” from Lazersonic & Zak Frost a “duo” from the UK. It’s their second release and gained some support from the likes of David Guetta on his “F**k Me I’m Famous” radio show (is this a good thing?). The EP contains a Club remix, a Dub remix, a Orginal remix, two remixes from Shadow Dancer and a remix from Kill The Hero. The digital EP is already released on channels such as Beatport and iTunes. And for you we got the Original, the Kill The Hero a remix and one of the remixes by Shadow Dancer. The vocals , by the way, are from the same guy (Ali Love) who did the vocals on Do It Again from The Chemical Brothers.

Another track that fits in this post perfectly (maybe a bit stronger then the previous ones though) is a remix by Deux Helix from the US. He remixed Boys Noize – Transmission. I heard all the remixes on the official EP releases and I think this one kicks the asses of some of those official remixes!

BOYS NOIZE REC

December 26th, 2009 | Hyped by EJECT!

Boys Noize Records has been doing great lately. Their latest release “Delta Disco” by Strip Steve really got me pumped. I’m also looking out for the Transmission EP by Boys Noize which is coming out in February. A nice fact about the EP is that it will be divided into two parts, part 1 will be released on the 8th of February while part 2 is set two weeks later. The other main difference between the two parts are the artists remixing it. Part 1 will represent remixes from Mr.Oizo and Djedjotronic and will also include a club and accapella version of the original by Boys Noize himself. Part 2, on the other hand, is filled with remixes by Untold, James Ruskin and the one and only Tiga. Here’s a small medley that will give you a small taste on what to expect:

Another nice remix that I discovered comes from Analyzer. His remix of Nerve really gave the original track more punch by adding some small but very noticable changes. Be sure to check out his blog because he’s got many other tracks/remixes worth checking out!

I would like to end this post with another christmas gift. Boys Noize edited a remix by Siriusmo which he did for Chromeo‘s “Night by Night”.

Here are some other radio rips, most of the tracklists aren’t completed yet but feel free to complete them in the comments. Not the best quality but it’s enjoyable. Keep track of this post, new livesets (or better quality) will be posted when I get my hands on them.
