Catching up

So I’ve been very very busy lately with school, vacation, etc. With all that behind me I’m ready to post again, but before I do so I have some catching up to do. This post will contain tracks and mixtapes I’ve missed during the past weeks.

The first track is a colaboration between Shinichi Osawa and our very own Paul Chambers (known from Yeah, Techno!). I had some high expectations when I heard these two producers where teaming up and all I can say is that they haven’t let me down. Just listen to the drop at 1:32 and you’ll know enough!

The following remixes are rather old but for some reason I never came across them. I’m talking about two remixes of Chromeo‘s Tenderoni. Both MSTRKRFT‘s and Proxy‘s version are my absolute summer anthems!

Dada Life keeps surprising me with their monthly mixes, they know which tracks match and how to mix them fluently together. Kaskade Feat. Haley – Dynasty (Dada Life Remix)

I first noticed this track a few weeks ago on Dada Life‘s YouTube channel. They announced it was their remix for Kaskades new Dynasty remixes EP. Dada Life is already back with another awesome track. While I’m still liking their version of Satisfaction they already released a new track called Cookies With A Smile. Mixtapes with a purpose!

The title sounds heroic, doesn’t it? …. We DJ’s know why we are making these mixtapes, right? We want people to enjoy our music choice and show of our skills, but most of all we want to be noticed and what would even better: we want go get booked by the biggest partys around! Some mixtapes though are not made to publicise the dj making it, but rather the event they are hosting or playing at! Anyway, I think this counts as a proper introduction for the next few mixtapes!

e-Minded
Is known as one of the guys behind Needle On The Record a well known Belgian party in Leuven. Here is his Filthy Angel Mix as a small promotion for the party concept but of course for him as well! A lot of unreleased/unsigned tracks, so definitely worth listening too.

Geht’s Noch?
The immens popular flemish duo is scoring very well with their latest release “Horny”. The track is even getting played on national radio (Studio Brussel of course). They are also working on a new concept called “This Is Belgium” the first broadcast was last week and more will come later, also keep an eye on the blog because we will post some interesting facts about it later! The mixtape ran out of download limit, so until they pass me a new link, you can only stream.

They are realy starting to become world known. Dadalife is playing all over the globe (even touring with DJ Tiësto) and still manage to produce some quality tracks! Their newest mixtape contains a lot of exclusives: Dan Black/Kid Cudi Remix, DIM Remix, and so on.

Dada Life – Happy Hands & Happy Feet

I really love the new track from Dada Life. It is somewhat darker than usual but you can still recognize Dada life synths in it. They already secured artists like Malente, Alex Gopher, Moonbotica and Phatzoo for remixing this track. I’m looking forward to Malente’s edit but until then you can listen to the original version.
