Felix Cartal – The Joker EP

Felix Cartal has kept me waiting with his newest EP called “The Joker”. I first heard this song in a YouTube video he posted on his channel and I’ve been looking for it everywhere since. Luckily it was finally released yesterday on Dim Mak Records. Both tracks are totally different, “The Joker” really hits you in the face while “The Riddler” goes for a much smoother approach. Decide which one you like!

There is a new artist in the DIM MAK stable, called Motor. Their sound is very experimental techno/electro like. At the moment they are the support act for Depeche Mode’s stadium tour. Their newest album Metal Machine will be released on the DIM MAK label. The first single of that album is Death rave and is available for download right now (check their myspace), but I only got my hands on the remix they made from Kanye West’s Robotcop. I know the original track and I must say I don’t recognize that much samples from the original. Anyway I appreciate the sound behind it, rough deep techno beats which make you feel like your at a Rave party.

A brand new EP from The Bloody Beetroots released yesterday the 9th september. Even tho the EP is new it will probably sound very familiar. For so far as I know they’ve been playing the track for quit a long time. But that’s how stuff goes these days I guess, I’m still waiting for a track from the FCKN CRW that I heard almost a year ago or something. Any way , let’s get back to the track. Very typical Bloody Beetroots track, high voices, high tunes followed by a heavy beatline. The EP will not only have this track ofcourse, but 3 others aswell (including one of my favourite bloody beetroots tracks, Butter)! What more can I say … I LOVE THE BLOODY BEETROOTS
