Holy f*cking crap, can’t wrap my head around how much I love this release. Duke Dumont absolutely killed it in 2012. For Club Play Only 1 and 2 are both in my top 5 releases of this year. My favorite track from that latest release (For Club Play Only 2) is “The Giver”. Totally lose myself in that vocal loop every single time. This track now got a nice remix treatment by Turbo Recordings regulars Gingy & Bordello, Tiga, Locked Groove (Belgian techno power!!) and Lando Kai (oké this last one might not be as regular as the rest …). Pointing out Gingy & Bordello + Locked Groove as my favorit ones, but have a listen yourself! Release next week!
(don’t mind my completely random picture, absolutely clueless today)
Lots of cool track being spread on the social networks and it seems they are all coming at once! I already shared most of them on my facebook page, but no damage done by posting them again on the blog! Big love to those producers sharing this stuff for free!
A new Duke Dumont track actually shared by Annie Mac from BBC1.
Second one is from Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (or lets just call him TEED). Really really enjoyed his liveset at I Love Techno last year and his tracks are very nice to listen to, relaxing and uplifting at the same time.
Next one is from Belgian’s nu disco wizard Moonlight Matters. He fell in love with Ben Howard’s “The Fear” and made a rework/edit of the track especially for the clubs!
This track maybe doesn’t fit with the tracks above, but it’s a free download and it’s good, so why the hell not. Still bummed out I missed them at Rock Werchter this year because of… laziness #ashamed
Doing some regular “shopping” on Beatport and thought it would be usefull for some of you all to see which tracks I buy for my djsets and such. I’ll try giving regular updates of my future purchases!
- Verlenen – I Thought I Told Ya’ll (Craig Hamilton Remix)
Cool old school sounding french house track. Very funky as well!
- Boris Dlugosch – Keep Pushin (Joel Alter Remix)
Another old school sounding house track, but this one goes much deeper! Something completely different as the original. Perfect track to get your groove going.
- Azari & III – Into The Night (Prince Language Remix)
Such a big fan of Azari & III. Real laidback remix keeping the orignal vocal work as the main part of the track as it should be.
- Asykan – Des Errus
Sick release on the BNR TRAX label. This tracks seems to be endless which is perfect as I don’t want it to stop! Only finding trouble mixing this in long, because the BPM seems to be fluctuating constantly.
- Baskerville – Priam
Another cool release on the BNR TRAX label and if I’m not mistaking Baskerville is a duo from the Netherlands. I’ve posted something about them way back, but it seems they are still doing very good! Jumpy electro rave, makes me want to jump around every single time.
- D.IM. – Dragon
The return of D.I.M. nothing more to add. Quality track as usual from this guy.
- Dog Blood – Next Order
Was rather curious about Boys Noize and Skrillex teaming up and it actually isn’t sounding bad at all. When you see your crowd (or yourself) getting tired, drop this one. Instant energy refiller this one.
- Duke Dumont – Giver
Duke Dumont, my hero of this year. Part 1 of this EP series was spot on, bringing us Streetwalker, now part 2 is released and it’s maybe not as good as Streetwalker (hard to match), but again soooo goood.
- Duke Dumont – No Money Blues ft. Extra Curricular
- Jacques Lu Cont – In The Night
Latest release on the Bromance label. It’s not a “dark sounding” release like previous ones on Bromance. But it’s very uplifting electro rave! Dig it! Disco! Disco!
- Light Year – Moderation (Jori Hulkkonen Remix – The Finger Prince Edit)
The original was awesome and it’s now getting a lot of remix treatments. This one is my favorit as it uses the most sounds from the original with some awesome sounding hi-hats added to it.
So, that’s my list of tracks I bought last week. If you have some cool tracks to add which are similar to above, don’t hold back!
