Turbo Recordings

A lot of released and upcoming tracks from Tiga’s record label “Turbo Records” lately, so here is a short overview of these MUST haves!

First up the second EP of ZZT on turbo which actually was released earlier this month (but still a good share for all those who haven’t got it!)

Then from the man himself Tiga, a lot of people already have written him off, but he’s back, and how! I’m totally addicted to this track, the built up, the deep bass and the catchy phrase “Every time I look into your eyes I see the future”. Release should be around december.

And to end this Turbo Records “special”, a small preview(mini mix between two tracks) from Brodinski‘s upcoming release oblivion, very dark house/electro which comes rather close to techno if you ask me (if you would speed it up that is).

Polsslag 2008

Yesterday every self respected electro freak made their way to ‘de grenslandhallen’ in Hasselt. Polsslag is the name, amazing line-up is the game. Names like Boys noize, the bloody beetroots, goose, dr lektroluv, MSTRKRFT, Erol Alkan all appeared on stage. I can asure you 1 thing: those names in combination with some damn amazing light effects and just the right amount of crowd can make people go mad! Literally! The Bloody Beetroots
I expected the most from these guys (damn they simply blew me away). First time i ever saw them, they came to Hasselt with the most stunning set i’ve ever heard!

Dj Mehdi
Famous for his hip-hop/house/electro flavoured sets. I must say i was quite suprised from his performance. I saw him last year at Dour Festival, where in my humble opinion… he kinda sucked. Nevertheless, this time, he nailed it!

MSTRKRFT
Well what can i say… those canadian bastards sure know how to rock the party Bad ass set, great tracks! 3rd time i saw these guys, they just keep playing harder and harder! Heavy shit! YOU’VE GOT TO SHOW ME LOVE! PS: Stay tuned for an exclusive interview coming in the next 2 weeks!

Boys Noize
Greatest dissapointment ever! This guy is playing the same old shit for about a year now. For us, die-hards, this simply doesn’t do the trick. What a shame. &down, great track, but it just gets kinda lame when you listen to it for the 11th million fucking time!

The belgian lectro pride! Pretty banging set, lots of new tracks! We wouldn’t expect less from the doctor!

Erol Alkan
The guy who’s playlists are always a big question mark. If i can recognise 4-5 tracks in his set, im happy He spinned a pretty dark lectro set yesterday. On the other hand: when the bass makes your guts turn over and you end up notious, i’m pretty sure its time to pull it back a little!

Goose
Again fellow countrymen… simply amazing set! Their dj performance is like 10 times better than their live performance Dirrrrrrty rockin’ tracks till you drop!

Afterall, a night well spent if you ask me, i had alot of fun, heard great tracks, amazing remixes. Already waiting for the next edition! CU guys! x
