INSTANT PARTY EP

Who wants to help me out here? LBCK? Never heard of them, but this duo from California impressed me with this fresh EP on La Valigetta records. The four originals on this EP are rough party electro tracks with beatrolls alternating with high pitched sounds. But what really got my attention is the remix line-up on this one: Strip Steve, Hijack and The Phantom’s Revenge aka my personal dreamteam of remixers! Jacking house remixes completely different from the orginals. Big big biiiig up for the label for this one. spot on! The EP is available on Beatport.

I was having just another boring Sunday afternoon, the sun was shining but that was about it, until I stumbled on the new Hijack mixtape. Instant summervibe (I bet even when there wouldn’t be any sun today). Hijack picked yet again some of the sweetest house tracks I ever heard and mixed them brilliantly into this 1h 20min mixtape. I’m uploading this too my mp3 player because I know I’ll be needing it early tomorrow morning.

It’s been two or three months since my last post. July has been a craaazy month for me with the festivals etc.
Now it’s time to get hyped again. I’ll start with some fidget tunes I’ve been digging lately.
Kelevra delivers another quality tune, remixing 2 Bit Thugs. He never seems to dissapoint!
Rico Tubbs released a Remix Album some time ago, with remixes by B.Rich, Muffler, Tes La Rok, … Mr. Miyagi turned Unbelievable into a crazy banger including a snippet of Gangsters. Like Rico’s myspace says, BASS = WIN!
One of the stand out tracks I’m presenting you is the Andy George remix of Knock You Out. Such a heavy bass!
Then there’s some quality remixes by Aniki, HiJack, Oliver $ and Project Bassline. All of ‘em would do a great job on the dancefloor so be sure to check em out.
