Wow this is crazy! Riva Starr and Snatch! Records are giving away 8 originals/remixes (mainly Riva Starr stuff). The best thing about it is that they are all in full 320 quality and amazing house productions one by one. Riva Starr knows what House music is and brings some good vibes to the blog-o-sphere. Everytime I’m posting a MSTRKRFT remix I feel a bit nostalgic too the early days of this blog. Because a good two years ago when I started blogging MSTRKRFT was pretty hot with their Vuvuvu and Bounce tracks, but after that it wasn’t until Heartbreaker ft. John Legend that they really blew my socks off, which is in the end probably my favourite MSTRKRFT track. This next remix they did for Laidback Luke‘s “Till Tonight” is far from being as good as Hearbreaker, but it does have that nice amount of disorted electronic beats and bleeps!

Rock the disco!

Small selection of rocking, bumping and funking tracks. First a freebee coming yet again from the Phantasy label. It’s the Beataucue remix for the immense hyped (and for good reasons) Yeah Techno! from Paul Chambers. For those who found the original and Soulwax mix to be too much techno and not enough electro, this will do the trick.

Now some stuff from across the Atlantic sea (America I guess?) a new track from the pop electro trio Hyper Crush. The Track is called AYO! and is produced by Diplo which you immediately hear. Not the most original track out there at the moment but this track will definitely work for the large crowds.

Another celeb from those areas is Steve Aoki, he made this remix for Nikki & Rich. Their originals is a mixture of pop, hip-hop and classic 60′s music. Of course our friend Steve Aoki added the usual bleeps and beats and we got ourselfs a decent electro track and what is left of Nikki’s vocals! And as an extra I threw in a remix by legend and pioneer Jazzy Jeff (yes, that dude from The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air).

The Disco Villians left the electro banger/trash genre a bit behind them and focussed mainly on Tech House the last two productions, they are currently looking for a label to release this next track “La Boa”. Good stuff. They didn’t bail on the electro genre, so we can expect some nice collaborations this Summer.

What’s up with Laidback Luke and Lee Mortimer‘s “Blau”? Seriously, all the big names are dropping this track, but for us poor dj’s without good connections it isn’t even released yet? I’ve finally got a decent version of the LA Riots remix thanks to electrocasts.net, but I’m in despered need of the orginal one. The nice long build up, followed by an unexpected nasty wobble. The LA Riots remix is good, but the nasty wobble comes less unexpected and a bit less “nasty”.

One More Time (Laidback Luke edit)

Laidback Luke, probably my favourite house producer. Not only his own productions but also his remixes are always real killers on the dancefloor. His latest work is a re-edit from Daft Punk’s One More Time. As you might think, remixing this track can’t be easy and you have to do it right! You can’t just screw up a classic like this one. I expected a lot of this re-edit when I was downloading it, a bit too much I think because I’m don’t get the “WIIII” feeling I get when I listen to the original track. Too much cuts and loops in the vocals, doesn’t give the feeling of a well edited track. Anyway let me know what you guys think, but I think Laidback Luke can do better than this.
