Boadicea (Oliver $ Remix)

Mason seems to be back on track. Their previous track Runaway was a huge (commercial) hit and got a ridiculous amount of airplay on the Belgian radio. Runaway is a good track, but then again nothing special aswell, it reminded me a lot of Fake Blood’s I Think I Like It for some reason … . Anyway the next single of Mason’s debut album “They Are Among Us” is called Boadicea. The original has a nice down-tempo tune going on but the best thing about this track are the vocals who are being taking care by Roisin Murphy! I don’t need to add much more because we all know how Roisin Murphy’s voice and “dance” music match!

The single is out now on Beatport and features a nice remix line-up: Oliver $, Evil Nine, Danny Howells, Tony Senghore & Human Life. You can have a listen and buy it over at Beatport or you might be happy enough with the Oliver $ Remix that we can share as a free download, you probably will be because it’s the best one in the list (in my opinion)!

Can’t Hide

I think it was like two hours after I posted the Swivel Hips track that I already got an email from these guys! I thought it would be a request to remove the track, but apparently these guys appreciate some kind words and free publicity! Even better, they hooked me up with a new track. “We Can’t Hide” was supposed to be a track for the upcoming EP but it didn’t make the cut and is now serving as promotional track for the EP. As expected some good funky house stuff with some epic disco sampling.

I also got some extras for this post. A new remix from Riva Starr for Mason‘s “Corrected”, most of you know Mason from his massive hit Exceeder, will he do the same thing with this track? Doubt it! This remix is ok, bit boring towards the ending, but it gives me a good reason too mention Riva Starr‘s upcoming release “Splendido” which is being released 24th May, get a small taster right here! Some new stuff from dutch producing machine Don Diablo. “Never too late” is a tastemaker for his forthcoming album.
