Faisal – Penelope Dickstop (Breakbot)
Last week (and this week as well actually) I had to focus most of my time on other stuff (work, dj’ing, home, … etc) but I just can’t miss my beloved blog for more than a week I guess! So let’s get posting again and I’ll start with an awesome remix/rework by Faisal. He took the baseline of Penelope Pitstop by Breakbot completely turned it around and added elements from Mr. Oizo’s Cut Dick and for the good listeners you can even recognize a Michael Jackson sample!

BOYS NOIZE REC
Boys Noize Records has been doing great lately. Their latest release “Delta Disco” by Strip Steve really got me pumped. I’m also looking out for the Transmission EP by Boys Noize which is coming out in February. A nice fact about the EP is that it will be divided into two parts, part 1 will be released on the 8th of February while part 2 is set two weeks later. The other main difference between the two parts are the artists remixing it. Part 1 will represent remixes from Mr.Oizo and Djedjotronic and will also include a club and accapella version of the original by Boys Noize himself. Part 2, on the other hand, is filled with remixes by Untold, James Ruskin and the one and only Tiga. Here’s a small medley that will give you a small taste on what to expect:

Boys Noize – Transmission Remixes (Medley)
Another nice remix that I discovered comes from Analyzer. His remix of Nerve really gave the original track more punch by adding some small but very noticable changes. Be sure to check out his blog because he’s got many other tracks/remixes worth checking out!

Boys Noize – Nerve (Analyzer Remix)
I would like to end this post with another christmas gift. Boys Noize edited a remix by Siriusmo which he did for Chromeo‘s “Night by Night”.

Tiga – Shoes (Mr. Oizo Remix)
I just hate the original song and all the remixes of “Shoes” but Mr. Oizo’s remix kind of jumps out. He’s remix is by far the best in my opinion.

Mr. Oizo – Lambs Anger
One of the most hyped up albums of the moment. And of course, GetHypedOnThis can’t stay behind. Mr. Oizo’s newest album is called “Lambs Anger” and will be released on the Ed Banger Label(obvious really) the 17th november. The album also includes the “single”, Bruce Willis is dead, on which you probably already bumped on to several times. Of the tracks that I heard I can say Mr. Oizo didn’t change a whole lot in comparison with his previous album “Moustache (Half a Scissor)”, He still throws in the unsynchronised beats along with f*cked up lyrics and mental tunes. On the other hand, some tracks have that real 70′s disco thing going on (for example the track “Jo”). In the end this album has stressy mental tracks and very relaxing disco like ones! One of a kind that Mr. Oizo.
