RELAUNCH!

Allright, finally got the new blog layout up and running. It still needs some tweaking and fine-tuning here and there, but it should be pretty much “surfable”. Hoping to add some more new stuff later this week as well. If the website doesn’t look very good you are probably are using an outdated version of Internet Explorer, don’t know if i’ll fine tune the website for those browsers in the future. So what’s new to the layout? A bit of re-arrenging and some CSS3 stuff along with a Featured Content box to highlight the most important posts! You can also rate posts now, gives a good measurement of what people like and what not of course!

While counting down to the new launch I also started a quest for new writers, we are thinking about “recruiting” one extra poster for Electro/House and one for DnB/Dubstep, had a lot of candidates who will all be contacted with further info if they are still interested!

So that’s the most important stuff so far, all other changes in the next weeks will be posted on facebook and twitter!

Another big release coming from Hospital Records!
Danny Byrd has been making anthems for more than 10 years and doesn’t seem to be slowing down. On the contrary, his popularity keeps rising.
Those who saw him perform at Laundry Day (Antwerp) last month were in for a treat. Mission accomplished, mister Byrd destroyed the drum & bass stage!
His new album “Rave Digger” will be released monday. With contributions from big names from the Hospital camp like Cyantific, London Elektricity and ‘our’ Netsky, there are some high expectations to live op to. I’m pretty sure the reactions will be great! Check out some of the tunes for yourself:

Brrrat!

A good two weeks ago I posted this youtube video on our facebook page. It’s a recording from Steve Aoki at a gig in Russia where he dropped his collaborating with Armand Van Helden called: “Brrrat!”. The biggest suprise (a part from the track being a real banger!) was that it’s going to be released on a fresh Belgian label “Midnight Munchies“.

The first package is set to release the 21st September (Beatport Exclusive!) with remix by UK based producers Will Bailey and His Majesty Andre. A second package will follow soon with remixes by Bart B More, Netsky and BeatAuCue something to look forward to say the least! I’m curious which future releases Midnight Munchies will bring!

D*Minds (aka Distorted Minds) have been around for more than 10 years now. Time to update some of their older tunes, they must have thought. “T-10″ is a classic tune, now rebuilt to the biggest drumstep track I have ever heard. One of their more recent releases was Ho Bass backed with Ghost Town, two heavy hitters. Both tunes just got a VIP edit, released on their own label D Style! Buy the EP here.

The last tune is a little bit different from what I usually post here. It’s a rather dark track, but has a bouncy vibe to it. I think they sampled System Of A Down for the short vocal clip. Big up to Gridlok and Black Sun Empire for this one!
