So tomorrow it’s already I Love Techno. Before I Love Techno we are heading to the Red Bull Elektropedia Awards to see who will go home with the awards! Rather curious about the output, not getting my hopes up too high about us winning one, but hey you never know? Apart from that I’ve been collecting some tracks from the last week to give you guys a quick update, unfortunately no time to give you all the intel on the tracks, but you might find a quality track or two in the next list. Institubes (2003-2011)

The Institubes label is dead (and for real this time). News that saddens me. It’s the label that introduced me to the so called “blog house”, back in 2006. Artists like Surkin, Bobmo and Para One had a platform to release their refreshing sounds. The first time I heard “Ghetto Obsession” and “Radio Fireworks” by Surkin, it felt like there was a whole unknown world of music just waiting there to be discovered. Maybe now these two tunes don’t sound that special anymore, but for me it was something really crazy, unheard of back then.

Straight From The Spring

Straight From The Spring is a FREE (yes FREE!) compilation album brought forward by Scion A/V and Sound Pellegrino. It features tracks/remixes from Gucci Vump, Bart B More, Harvard Bass and more. You can of course expect the typical Sound Pellegrino music with probably the co-operation of Bart B More and Harvard Bass as the main exception, their track “Listen To This” is an absolute banger! So while everybody will be trying to stick Brap in their dj mixes I will be going for this one!
