Damn it! Keep missing out on stuff like this (maybe I should start reading more other blogs again). Apparently Turbo Recordings gave this next track away as a free download around Christmas time, still weirdly enough, this is the first time I’m listening to it.
As expected from Mr. Chambers: the right amount of beats and bleeps with some old school techno synths.

Freebie from Mister Paul Chambers. A good month ago he remixed Etienne De Crecy – No Brain and now it’s free for download in all it’s 320kbp glory. It’s very rough and probably not such a good soundtrack for a sunny day like the previous post. I’m loving these regeluar remixes that Paul Chambers brings out but I’m kinda waiting for a new track like Yeah Techno!

On a more personal note, I’m currently playing all the big Turbo Recording en Boysnoize Records releases and so on, but now that the winter is over I’m playing all the funky house tracks again, very light weighted tunes in-contrary of what I was playing like two weeks ago. Anyone else who sees his music taste change with the seasons?
I can’t get enough of Boys Noize‘s remix EP’s, they are always packed with the kind of tracks you immediately start looking for when you catch a glimps of them in a mixtape. For most of you guys your favourite track of the EP is probably Hey Today!‘s remix of “Nerve”, but I’m not going to post that track because you will find it everywhere on the blogs in a few days. My favourite track of the EP is Paul Chambers‘ version of Nott, pounding techno as usual. Be sure to buy the EP on Beatport!

So I’ve been very very busy lately with school, vacation, etc. With all that behind me I’m ready to post again, but before I do so I have some catching up to do. This post will contain tracks and mixtapes I’ve missed during the past weeks.
The first track is a colaboration between Shinichi Osawa and our very own Paul Chambers (known from Yeah, Techno!). I had some high expectations when I heard these two producers where teaming up and all I can say is that they haven’t let me down. Just listen to the drop at 1:32 and you’ll know enough!

The following remixes are rather old but for some reason I never came across them. I’m talking about two remixes of Chromeo‘s Tenderoni. Both MSTRKRFT‘s and Proxy‘s version are my absolute summer anthems!

Dada Life keeps surprising me with their monthly mixes, they know which tracks match and how to mix them fluently together. They also have funny descriptions for their mixtapes, no champagne and bananas this time but the sound of good meat gone bad. Have no clue what they are talking about? Just sit back and listen.

The next mixtape comes from a Belgian dj called Skyve Reuter, his mix was broadcasted on Stubru last weekend. He’s also giving away an edit of You’ve Got The Love by Florence & The Machine vs The xx. A nice relaxing track to wake up with!

Small selection of rocking, bumping and funking tracks. First a freebee coming yet again from the Phantasy label. It’s the Beataucue remix for the immense hyped (and for good reasons) Yeah Techno! from Paul Chambers. For those who found the original and Soulwax mix to be too much techno and not enough electro, this will do the trick.
Paul Chambers – Yeah, Techno! (Beatacue Remix) (Removed on request)
Now some stuff from across the Atlantic sea (America I guess?) a new track from the pop electro trio Hyper Crush. The Track is called AYO! and is produced by Diplo which you immediately hear. Not the most original track out there at the moment but this track will definitely work for the large crowds.

Another celeb from those areas is Steve Aoki, he made this remix for Nikki & Rich. Their originals is a mixture of pop, hip-hop and classic 60′s music. Of course our friend Steve Aoki added the usual bleeps and beats and we got ourselfs a decent electro track and what is left of Nikki’s vocals! And as an extra I threw in a remix by legend and pioneer Jazzy Jeff (yes, that dude from The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air).

This one I got from the Chemicaljump blog, it’s a new remix from Laidback Luke for the track “Rock the disco” from Robbie Rivera. Simple and effective electro banger that will get everybody jumping for sure.

Another electro banger comes from Modek, his track “Pink” has a name that makes it look like it’s for sissys but it’s anything but for sissys! Very, very, veeeery heavy!

Next a small taster for the upcoming Swivel Hips EP “Headlines” releasing this Summer! This track is called Raffaella. Old school sample work with the better funky house out their!
The Disco Villians left the electro banger/trash genre a bit behind them and focussed mainly on Tech House the last two productions, they are currently looking for a label to release this next track “La Boa”. Good stuff. They didn’t bail on the electro genre, so we can expect some nice collaborations this Summer.
Finally! Our good friend Paul Chambers found a record label for his track “Yeah Techno”. Phantasy is the label who’s picking this one up. It didn’t come as surprise because Erol Alkan had nothing but good to say about it, after getting it from his good friends 2manydj’s. The EP is set to release 13th of June on your favourite Digital platform and there will also be a limited press on vinyl (250 to be exact, including a free poster!) which should already be available by the end of this month. The EP will include the remixes by Soulwax (AWESOME!) and Beataucue. Can’t wait to get my hands on this one.
Everytime I go to big events as I Love Techno or like Soulwaxmas last week I always hope to discover some new tracks and artists. My biggest discovery at Soulwaxmas last week is most definitely this Belgian artist: Paul Chambers. His unreleased track “Yeah, Techno!” got picked up by 2manydj’s who wanted to play it in their “video-wall” djset/show, but because the track wasn’t released yet, it didn’t had a cover or anything. So in 3 days time a cover was designed and the animators of 2manydj’s show made an animation for it as it was seen at Soulwaxmas.
The performances of Paul Chambers himself are always live with his synths etc… as you can see in these two videos: Paul Chambers Live at Soulwaxmas 2008 and Paul Chambers Live at Bomb O Matic. He hasn’t found any label yet for a release of “Yeah, Techno!”, but with the support of 2manydj’s, Erol Alkan, Mixhell and of course us, things are seem to be going the right way!
