The boys have something to celebrate! 50.000 likes and 8000 followers. The Sound of Stereo ship is still sailing strong. As a token of appreciation they are sharing the remix they recently did for Proxy‘s “Shut Up”. The strong electro rave original gets polished to a more clubby, laidback vibe (I’m completely lacking inspiration today). Anyway, it’s my favorite from the Shut Up remixes and even my favorite from the latest Sound of Stereo productions.

Catching up

So I’ve been very very busy lately with school, vacation, etc. With all that behind me I’m ready to post again, but before I do so I have some catching up to do. This post will contain tracks and mixtapes I’ve missed during the past weeks.

The first track is a colaboration between Shinichi Osawa and our very own Paul Chambers (known from Yeah, Techno!). I had some high expectations when I heard these two producers where teaming up and all I can say is that they haven’t let me down. Just listen to the drop at 1:32 and you’ll know enough!

Proxy is proud to present his very own label called Mako Records. They already released two EP’s: Marseille – UFO Attack EP and The Mould – Soldier Take A Rifle. Half In Love With Elizbeth is a track from the Mystery Jets an indie rock band from the UK. The original track was remixed by Foamo quite some time ago, which was a brilliant remixed and loved by many blogs and blogreaders. Now, The Proxy is taking a shot at it and he delivers something you might not expect from him. Offcourse the brilliant vocals remain but from there out it’s just nice relaxed track actually, it’s just untill the end of it that some typical proxy sounds come floating up. A good track for the early summer days.

Then a track that just flew in our mailbox, an edit by Trumpdisco (check their own production a few posts ago!) for Proxys newest upcomming track “Who are you?”. So while we are waiting for the orginal and offcourse the Bloody Beetroots remix we can go crazy on this one, an absolutly banging edit.

7 Years Culture Club Aftermath

I know 7 YCCC was almost 2 weeks ago, but tonight I’ve been watching some footymaterial of it and GODDAMN I’m proud to post it!

On the 30th of April 2009 ‘Culture Club’ @ Ghent, Belgium celebrated his 7th birthday! And what a hell of a bdayparty it was!

When you see the astonishing line-up you would wish you’d been there:

There Tocadisco, MSTRKRFT, The Bloody Beetroots, LA Riots, Sound of Stereo, Maxim Lany and Neon gave us a night remember and damn what a night it was!

But the most interesting feature about this post is that I got in contact with all the photographers and ‘filmingpeople’! They gave me some interesting footy and photolinks, I’ll bet u’ll like it!
