Today saw the release of the debut EP by the Shaved Monkeys, coming from Ghent, Belgium. Their tune “Get Rough” (we already posted a teaser back in January), got remixed by Underhall, Aerotronic, Distrakt and Soda ‘n’ Suds. The EP is released by none other than CRUX Records!

I can’t believe how many mixtapes were sent to us lately, maybe it has to do something with Summer coming closer?

The first one is from Mightyfools, they recently finished their first EP entitled “That’s The Shit” on Lektroluv Records. What better way than to celebrate this with a new mixtape filled with exclusive tracks and ofcourse tracks from their new EP:

Some of our dedicated readers are already thinking “Wasn’t this already posted a time ago?”, well you’re thinking absolutly right! But short after that post Soda N Suds found a record label that wanted to release Fuck House and asked us kindly to remove the download.

But here we are again, in the mean while Fuck House already got released (5 november) and supported by DJ’s as Strip Steve, The Disco Villains, Dada Life, Mustard Pimp, Mightyfools, Gtronic, Dirty Disco Youth and many more. The EP includes remixes from Dj Manaia, Kill Frenzy and Dem Slackers. Soda ‘n’ Suds were so kindly to share their own original mix and the Kill Frenzy Remix, have a listen and buy these tracks on : Beatport or iTunes. Get Jacked!

Two banging parties coming up in Belgium, this weekend and next week. Both those parties are called Jacked! and are promoted (and also mainly organised?) by Soda ‘n’ Suds. The first party is this saturday in Kortrijk and the second one in Leuven. Soda ‘n’ Suds will be playing at both parties so as Dj Manaia (all the way from Portugal). He sent us a small minimix for his Belgian JACKED tour along with a brand new remix.

This famous dj-duo from belgium is letting us know that they are working on something big. The preview of “Shake like you” will probably be remixed by Mellow & The Beatbouncers.
I recognized a sample from Khia – My Neck My Back which also isn’t a bad track. I think this is going to be.. no I just KNOW that this is going to be a killer on the dancefloor.

Pro Nails Soda & Suds fidget remix

A brand new remix from the young Belgium duo, Soda & Suds. For this remix they use the vocals from the track Pro Nails by Kid Sister ft. Kanye West. They got a lot of inspiration from the Crookers for this track, if you ask me. Very bouncy ghetto sounding track. Perfect stuff for the dancefloor this summer.

Mixtapes for the summer

It’s been a while since we posted some new stuff. It’s been quite busy the last few days (end of school year = partys). For myself, I’m back from a small vacation with a small surn-burn and I’am already packing for the upcomming festivals (Rock Werchter, Les Ardentes, I’ll promise you guys a small report). But until then here are some mixtapes for the summer!
