FCKN CREW – DISCOKE
The FCKN CREW has amazed us in the past, but that was about two years ago. All what came after those first tracks and that amazing djset “Fckn Crew live @ fleche d’or (11/01/08)” was a bit rubbish to say it harsh. So this new EP… I was skeptic at the beginning. But I must say they did a pretty good job on this one. It’s hard trash electro, but with a good melody too it and not toooo much noise (as in the past). It features an original and 4 remixes and above all absolutely free!

Tonton Funk (Les Petits Pilous Remix)
The French duo Teenage Bad Girl is back. These guys were part of the whole French Touch (2.0) era. Who doesn’t know or remember tracks as ‘Cocotte’ and ‘Vacuum’, now still a big inspiration for all those starter electro producers out there. Tonton Funk is the first EP of their forthcoming second album due late 2010. This first EP is a perfect mixture of heavy beats and futuristic sounds.
The EP is set to release the 15th June including remixes by Les Petits Pilous, Franz & Shape and Toxic Avenger. Clearly back to the earlier electro roots, something I’m definitely cheering for.

Die (GTRONIC DubDub Rmx)
Gtronic was so nice to send us his remix for “Die” from Trash Yourself (their myspace is giving me a headache!) & The Toxic Avenger. Gtronic added his typicall wobbly sound to the ravy trash sound of the original, THE perfect combo I would say. Gtronic is on a roll and is even going on an Australian tour next week with Trashbags!

Violent it is! This is the real trash electro stuff. I was checking out Toxic Avangers newest remix from Art Whiplash‘s “Party sex and bullshit” and I said to myself “damn this is some good stuff, never heard about Art Whiplash, lets look up the original track”. Damn am I happy I did, raw uncutted beats and effects is how I like to describe this track. This one is definitely not for the not-electro trash lovers.
