Kitsuné Maison 9

The famous label Kitsuné Maison is already up to their 9!! compilation album featuring only the best in electro/pop-electronic and indie music. The album seems to offer yet again the finest selection with solid names as Yuksek, The Twelves, Monarchy, Crookers but also new and upcoming names as Jamaica, … . The compilation will be released April 26th and will be available on all the big digital music platforms.

As a taster they shot a nice battle-video (as you might remember from previous releases) and they also sent us a free track which is featured on the album. The Twelves know how to set the mood and I think this remix for “TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB Something Good Can Work” perfectly reflects the concept behind Kitsuné. Looking forward, to say the least.

Essential Mix – The Twelves

When you hear an essential mix you almost always know you’re in for a good 2 hour mix! I’m currently listening to the essential mix of The Twelves which was broadcasted yesterday. Half way in the set I can say this is yet again a briliant 2 hour mix. Very soulful and funky which probably has something to do with their origins, being Brazil. I’m using the download link from one of my favourite blogs “Too Many Sebastians“, I hope they don’t mind!

The Twelves

The Twelves are rather new to me. I recently discovered them on the myspace of Yelle. The Twelves had made a remix of Ce Jeu. I looked up their myspace and found out they have been around for quite a long time by now. The Twelves are a duo from Rio de Janeiro which probably explains their funky rhythmic style, and that’s all we need with this kind of weather ! Here are some of their remixes.
