Les Ardentes 2011
Tomorrow Les Ardentes kicks off again. First time in 4 years I’m not going the complete 4 days, but only friday and saturday. Luckely enough those two days are the most relevant to the blog and should be in the agenda of all your electronic music lovers! Here are a few artists that are on my list!
FRIDAY
Adrian Lux, I’m clueless on how his other music is but I’m completely in love with his track “Teenage Crime”, so who knows what he has in store.

Goose, watched them at Werchter so I’m probably a fool for going … again! But the performance they did at Werchter was brilliant and I would love some more of that action!

Yuksek bailed on the pukkelpop crowed 2 years ago by not making it on time. Let’s hope he makes it this time. I’m not familiar yet with his new album, but as long as we hear Tonight we are good to go!

Lektroluv Records is also taking over a room (similar like Planet Turbo did last year). 100% Belgian electro madness with The Subs, Highbloo, Lektroluv, Mumbai Science. But in all honesty, how good they even are, you should go and watch Agoria, Joris Voorn and Technasia in the Aquarium room. Lektroluv Records is represented at most of the big events so you’ll get plenty of chances in Belgium to see them. Go techno!

If you’re not feeling “electro banger” or “techno rave” there is always VILLA and Mustang, disco pop electro! Also guarantee for a big party but without the ADHD feeling at the end.

SATURDAY
I’m going to be short about this one. Why? I’m not very familliar with most of the names that day. I know what kind of music I can expect but that’s about it. So I’ll probably discover lots of likes and dislikes that day. That’s what’s so great about Les Ardentes, discovering new music and not finding stuff you already heard a million times.
The aquarium room is all about dubstep that night. Darkstar, AKS Live, Dj Hatcha, Jakwow, Flux Pavillion. Enough dubstep names to get the hype going!

My favourite stage that night will defenitly be Red Bull Elektropedia. Club Cheval and Sound Pellegrino right after each other, this will be one hell of a party.

As you can see, lot’s of music to explore at Les Ardentes. If I’m not mistaking there are still a few tickets left. So hop on that train and get your asses over there!
Fenech Soler – Demons (Yuksek Vocal Remix)
Already posted a thing or two about Fenech-Soler right here, so I’ll keep it short. Demons is the next single from their self-titled debut album. I can’t repeat enough how good this album is, definitely one of my favourites from 2010. Yuksek also seems to be back as active as he was before, very curious what his collaboration with the Magician will bring forth (as I mentioned before as well!). Oh yeah and the remix … well what you expect? It’s good! Very good!

Crazy eyes
Lots of nice free tracks are dropping in my inbox these days. Groovy stuff today, no epic bangors!
Shantaram, hard to find some to the point info about this guys, but he’s a guy from Italy and “runs” a label and online radio. He sent me his remix for the wonderful Anoraak – Crazy Eyes, a bit of a trancy disco remix.

Anoraak – Crazy Eyes ( Shantaram remix)
Let’s keep it funky disco, but with some more beats per minute! Poundrowdys is a passioned house dj but recently started producing as well (in the end, that’s the way to get your name out there these days). He remixed Holidays from Miami Horror which is on their new album “Illumination” haven’t heard the complete album, but what I heard was rather good!

Villa feat. The New Sins – Beats of Love is getting a remix edition, releasing … tomorrow! It will include the dub, club and radio edit along with remixes by Hannulelauri & Mylo. The C90s also did their remix and if this sets the standard for the other two remix we are in for a big suprise because I’m digging this one as much as I did the original!

It seems Yuksek hasn’t being do much on it’s own for some time, but projects as The Krayz (a long with Brodinski) pretty much make up for that. Apparently he also has some collaboration plans with The Magician (ex-Aeroplane) as well, read it in an interview at toomanysebastians. Here is one of his latest solo remix facts.

ANYTHINGMARIA – Cook Him Up (YUKSEK Remix)
Last track probably doesn’t fit the other tracks in this post, but couldn’t leave it unnoticed. I recently posted about Tony Senghore’s “Score EP”, the EP is out now on the major download platforms and this next track should really convince you if you weren’t already.

We love Yuksek
But, does he love us? I’m saying this because a lot of our posts got deleted on his request in the past (And then he even doesn’t show up at Pukkelpop2009 were I was about too see him live for the first time!!!). Let’s just hope he doesn’t mind me sharing these two fresh remixes. The first remix is for a young and fresh popsingster who goes by the name Amanda Blank. Very relaxed remix to set a late night mood. The second remix is for a less young and fresh band, The Prodigy. The track Yuksek remixed is Invaders must die, originaly a very energetic song, but Yuksek placed his stamp on it and instead of jumping around and screaming I feel like just listening to it all night long with a big smile on my face, brilliant.

Les Transardentes 2009 Livesets
Damn, was I mad I couldn’t go! Brilliant line-up with dj’s as Jeff Milss, James Holden, Don Rimini, sebastiAn and even one of my favourite bands of the moment Late Of The Pier. Anyway, today I found some livesets of Les Transardentes on Belgiumlivesets.blogspot.com. So for all you guys who couldn’t go because they had finals just like me, here are the few livesets, I haven’t heard them all for myself so don’t know if the quality is any good. Let’s hope Les Transardentes pickes his date a bit better next year!!!

*update* apparently my post was deleted. My guesses are the management from Yuksek or something. Probably didn’t like me spreading the two tracks. Which I understand completely, but was a bit bummed my whole post got deleted 
. Anyway here is the post including the tracklist, but without the downloads! SORRY YUKSEK 
Hell yeah! One of my favourit producers is coming with an album! I’am of course talking about Yuksek who’s track “Tonight”, I just can’t get out of my head. Absolutely brilliant track. The album is scheduled to be released digital the 26th of januari and should be at your local cd shop the 2nd februari. Yuksek is playing a live set in Belgium at Les Transardentes the 24th of januari, but along with many others I have exams then, so I can get go (*DAAAAAAAAMN*).
